Don’t you just love the twists and turns of Main Street? 🧡 When the two villages of Matteawan and Fishkill Landing merged to become Beacon, NY in 1913, it created a Main Street like no other. ✨

At least a mile long, Main Street is sandwiched neatly between the mighty Hudson River and the majestic Mount Beacon (seriously, aren’t we lucky?), curving and bending in a way that leaves you wanting to explore more, whatever the season. ☀️🍂

Think you’ve reach the end, you haven’t. Just keep walking! Plus, there are more than 100 independent shops and almost as many spots to eat & drink along the way. Swipe to see from east to west. ✨

New Mural @thefactorybeacon 💖🖤💗

This is a Singer leather sewing machine, and the Factory Hotel used to be home to Aero Leather Clothing Co. making jackets throughout WW2.

Lots more learning experiences with this 2nd mural. Stoked with the final piece. Thanks for all the support and to @thefactorybeacon for the opportunity🤝🖤

Who knew my dream room had been waiting for me in Beacon? 🪩✨ During our girls’ weekend, I got to stay in the Disco Ball Room at @thefactorybeacon, and let’s just say… I found my natural habitat.

I’m convinced more things in life need disco balls. They don’t hide the cracks—they turn them into something that catches the light.

Which is why I love this quote from Donna Ashworth:

“You don’t attract what you want; you attract what you are. So why don’t you stop pretending to be poised and perfect, and start showing up like the patchwork disco-ball of mosaic broken sparkles that you are—so your messy life, stitched up at the seams with pure, unfiltered love, can shine on…”

Here’s to embracing our wonderfully imperfect, sparkling selves… and to adding a few more disco balls wherever possible. Life is simply better that way.
