POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of the youngest athletes I’ve personally taken on in a few years.

Three HRs this weekend, two in the same game. All pull-side on inside pitches, an area we’ve been intentional about developing.

Good to see the work translating to the field. Plenty more to build on.

COUNTER THE TRUNK

Let the trunk work back as you stride forward.

• Maintain balance + control
• Create stretch + separation
• Maintain depth in the swing
• Give the barrel room to work

Get forward while staying back.

109.6 EV.

Already known for his opposite-field power, Dom continues to expand his offensive capabilities.

Pull-side home runs are becoming part of the equation, too.

Not by accident. A deliberate focus this offseason on expanding his options and becoming a more complete hitter.

12U hitter learning how to load into the ground like a corkscrew to create and release rotational energy.

Open 45 with the Farm Board and Exit Velo Pro to reteach the pattern and feel how to load/corkscrew into the ground.

Double Tee to create extension through the middle of the field to help eliminate pulling off the ball while keeping energy linear.

I wish I learned how to load like this earlier in my career. Probably would’ve had a few more PUMPS AND DOUBLES. 🗣️🙂‍↕️🥲

Struggle with velocity or inside pitches? Spacing may be the issue.

Our 37”, 31 oz Catapult challenges sequencing and getting the barrel out. Pair it with our more forgiving Machine Balls and work pull-side angles, clean contact, and quality spin. Challenge your spacing!

Progression Work with MTSU First Baseman Maddie McIntyre 🥎

Maddie has a tendency to get a little steep through the zone, causing her to “clip” the ball instead of consistently squaring it up. This is an extremely common issue with hitters.

Our goal with this progression is to help her get on plane earlier, improve body control, and create a more efficient path through the zone.

1️⃣ Trinity Towel Bat | 45° Open Stance
Starting with an open stance to help Maddie feel the barrel getting on plane earlier and working through the hitting zone.

2️⃣ Farm Board | Max Tee Work
Stabilizing the lower half to limit unnecessary movement and force her to use her middle to produce the swing.

3️⃣ Med Ball Swings | 4 lb
Holding a med ball takes the hands and barrel out of the equation. She can’t simply push the barrel through the zone. She has to use her body to create the movement.

4️⃣ Hook Drill
Controlling the forward move. Allowing the lower body to move forward while feeling the upper body stay back. Creating better sequencing and positioning before rotation.

5️⃣ Game Swings | Machine
Now we take those movements and apply them to game-speed swings. No overthinking mechanics. Just competing and allowing the work to show up.

The goal isn’t to build five different swings through five different drills. It’s to use five different environments to develop ONE more efficient swing.

Train the movement. Trust it when it’s time to compete.

You gotta get on the freeway if you want to take the exit.

We often label things as timing issues, but where and how we enter the hitting zone influences how we exit it. Certain entry angles create opportunities for certain exits.

Where you start matters.

Imagine running a race with a cliff just 4 feet past the finish line. How fast could you run? Only as fast as you could stop. The same applies to hitting. Better brakes allow us to stay on the gas longer, use more of our engine, crack the whip, and transfer that speed into impact.

If you leave one of our retreats thinking you know everything about training athletes, we’ve failed you. Our goal is to open your mind to new possibilities, consider things you hadn’t before, ask better questions, and ultimately get better results.

Final retreat of 2026 is in December. 5 spots left!

A movement solution can be effective without being universally effective. The more an athlete relies on one strategy, the harder it may become to access alternatives when the task demands something different.
