NY summer on a plate. Beautiful scallops from @thefishstand , our local seafood spot, hard-seared with garlic, shallots and parsley, hit with white wine, then finished with butter and just enough cream to hug the pasta. Bright, rich and perfect for summertime in the city.

Ingredients:

8–10 large sea scallops from @thefishstand
8 oz pasta
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 shallot, finely chopped
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
½ cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons butter
⅓ cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt, to taste
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Pasta water, as needed
Lemon zest or juice, optional for brightness
