Just pure Fly Fishing!
Fly fishing for Alligator gar is almost always stellar this time of year.
Come toss 10 to 12wts at them and see what its all about. A blend musky and tarpon tactics and a giant toothy river monster, what more could you want!?

My August has some holes and a couple dates opened up. Let's go fly fishing!

What are your favorite redfish flies?? 🤔

I’m 99% sure that I’ve caught 99% of my redfish on variations of the same pattern, the good ol’ kwan. They’re hard to beat, and imitate several different little creatures. Such a good bug. It’s been a few years since I’ve taken a deep dive into saltwater tying, though… surely there’s some new stuff out there that the fish can’t resist. What are you throwing??

We’ve been getting out to the flats every chance we get! Lu has them DIALED. I’d better be careful, if we spend too much time down there she may never want to chase carp with me again. On second thought, maybe I’m on to something 👀

Trolled past it and it kept feeding. So I banked the boat and went after it. Tight quarters but hard to miss em when they're 9 feet away.
Definitely summer on the lake flats. Get on there and enjoy some sightfishing.
