Nina has worked across three of our traders now. She has a proper superpower that means she lights up everything around her, which does at The Forest Boost, Redheads and Bao Down.

It's not every day that you meet someone as positive as Nina, but lucky for us she spends a lot of time in our alleyways.

Nina moved from Brazil almost three years ago and got her first job here in the Grainger Market. She's spent most of her time trying traditional dishes from across the globe from our street food traders, and she only has three spots she hasn't yet crossed off her list - Slice, Rice Kitchen and Snackwallah.

We asked Nina to describe the Grainger Market in one line. She said:

"I love the Grainger Market. It's a slice of calm but also a place full of life. If I had to choose three words to describe it, they would be unexpected, fun, and delicious."

Breakfast on the go in Newcastle upon Tyne 📍

First up, @fab_bakery_fenham (also in Gosforth) where you can pick up a French patisserie style pastry. 🥐

We found everyone who worked there to be so kind and friendly, so this will get your day off to the best start!✨ Note: They’re close Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

Next up, head to @lagomcoffeebar for a caffeine fix on Monk Street. Choose from either their Brazilian blend, with notes of dark chocolate, hazelnut and cream, or their Costa Rican blend, with notes of blueberry, orange zest and lemongrass 🍋☕️

We’d personally recommend the Brazilian blend!

Finally, finish at @thegraingermarket 🥣 It’s very busy inside but if you make your way through, you’ll find @theforestboost at number 61.

They serve authentic Brazilian açai bowls with your choice of toppings and they’re both healthy and delicious! 🥥

A few months ago, Alesandra from Forest Boost moved into the unit next door to Dave at Manhua Cha - and it didn’t take long for them to become a familiar duo around the market.

the two traders have built a great connection - spending their days side by side, swapping bubble tea for açaí bowls, sharing stories, and adding something new to the market experience.
