Working through Chapter 2 of my second draft, and the novel is finally taking shape. I’m genuinely so excited!!! I hit my goal of 500 words/day and now it’s just part of my lifestyle.

A mix of nostalgic childhood books, writing craft books, and a few personal finance reads. I just shared my top 15 favs on my blog, lmk if you want that roundup here too!
 🎥 Creating
I built a Redwall Discord (we’re at 100 members!). I’ve been going live on Fridays and my TikTok has blown up with fellow Redwall fans, I’ve been leaning into the nostalgia hard 🐭
 💼 Freelancing
Things are brewing! Since opening my design shop with my husband, I’ve been doing more content creation, and a few branded opportunities are in the works. I’m rolling with it! Also potentially doing a freelance sprint week in Chicago that could fund my whole month 🙏

Just got back from Chicago, heading to Cali (Sonoma Valley/San Diego/SF) for a wedding and visiting family. I’ve been a busy bee!!

A very The Secret History weekend at the Chalet. This was my first reading of The Secret History by Dona Tartt, and I must say I know why it's so famous now. If I can resume it in one sentence, it would be something like this : "You only see what the others want you to see." I feel like everybody has read it, so I don't really feel like doing a whole review about it, but I did like it and find it very laughable to see people living for its aesthetic (isn't it ironic). 🍂 Tuesday Tag 🍂 Let's match book covers to the four seasons and share memories✨️ 🐝🌷 Spring: The Bees by Laline Paull. A thriller set in a hive. I love anthropomorphism! I met my partner in spring. We were getting to know each other, the flowers were blooming, the bees were buzzing and my heart was BURSTING 💘 I remember he got stung when we trespassed in a field with a hive 😂 I also bought this book on my way to a uni lecture, and arrived early. As I was flipping through my new book, my future boyfriend arrived with his friends. They didn't notice me, but I sure was looking at this cute guy who I had a crush on. Little did I know, he had noticed me too and was going to ask me out soon after 🙈 🍹🍉 Summer: Peculiar Ground by Lucy Hughes-Hallet. I don't know much about this book. It seems to be about 17th century witches and the Berlin Wall. Interesting combination! Summer is my favourite 😍 I love being in water. 🍂🍄 Autumn: The Little Red Chairs by Edna O'brien. A faith healer arrives in a small Irish village and the community soon fall under his spell. This cover reminds me of the beautiful walks I've had while mushroom hunting. I can't wait to go back to the woods soon! ⛄️🌰 Winter: Hodd by Adam Thorpe, a Robin Hood retelling. This cover is so wintery! Not the cosy kind, the real harsh kind! I have so many nice memories of snuggling with a cat by the fire and roasting chestnuts. 🐈‍⬛ ✨️ Do you know any of these?
