in a studio visit I was asked “what is more intimate than the parts of the house that the host wouldn’t lead you to?” nothing about those spaces is staged, it is authentic. what if you aren’t even welcomed in those intimate spaces because of the existence of a camera that shows a baseline level of distrust.
