And just like that, fall break is over! 🍂🤎

We didn’t do anything big or have a bunch of plans this week. The kids went to their practices, we stayed home, relaxed, and just enjoyed having a slower week together.

And honestly, I’m learning that every break doesn’t have to be filled with activities, outings, and spending money. Sometimes, the best thing we can do for our kids is let them slow down, too.

I want my kids to understand that rest is important. You don’t always have to be doing something to make a day meaningful. It’s okay to relax, enjoy your home, spend time together, and simply be.

As moms, we can put so much pressure on ourselves to make every break memorable, but sometimes the quiet, ordinary moments are just what our families need. ❤️

Now, it’s back to our regular routine!

1. I love these @wonderfulpistachios snack packs that I found on Amazon grocery! The box includes a great mix of gluten free flavors with a classic roasted and salted, a sweet honey roasted, and a slightly spicy chili roasted. Perfect for some protein on the go!

2. I bought these fruit whip snacks by @thefrootthief for my son. However, I have to admit that I am totally hooked on them! They are a perfect balance of sweet and tart. Not only are they made with real fruit but they are so fun to eat! Each pack comes with two whips that total 9 feet. I bought this strawberry and mixed berry pack at Costco. It includes a total of 20 packs (10 of each flavor). Costco also carries a strawberry and mango pack.

3. I was so happy when I tasted these @scharglutenfree Entertainment Crackers! They are giving Ritz cracker vibes. I really miss Ritz! Had to eat these crackers the way I used to eat Ritz as a kid and grab a slice of American cheese, fold it up, and top the crackers with the cheese. I have been buying these @sargentocheese American cheese slices made with ingredients I can feel good about. Such a satisfying snack!

Enjoy!

As always, be sure to check that these snacks meet your food safety needs.

Note: Wonderful Pistachios flavors are not all gluten free but the three mentioned above are.

Unpopular opinion apparently and crunchy mom hot take, but can we normalize not giving kids food dyes and artificial fake crap?!😅

We can enjoy holiday festivities and still have treats without it 🧡🎃

Just because it “didn’t kill us” when we were kids doesn’t mean it’s something we should pass on to the next generation

If you still want to enjoy candy or a treat, look for options that are dye free, no artificial flavors, or are fruit based (like fruit leathers or fruit whips). Some good alternative brands are @yumearth @unreal.snacks, @thefrootthief, @eatrealsy, @bearfruitsnacks.us 🫶🏻

Where my mamas who feel the same?!😅🥹

One thing I’ve learned from leaving the house with three kids: always have snacks 😅

I’m always looking for cleaner-ingredient options to keep in the truck for when we’re out and about, and these are some of our current favourites:

Simple Mills — almond flour cookies, cheddar crackers + graham crackers
Cadootz — crackers
Solely — fruit jerky
Fruit Thief — fruit snacks
Seven Sundays — cereal
Amara — yogurt smoothie melts

Because somehow someone is always hungry five minutes after we leave the house.
