The jumpers are out, the nights drawing in and Summer feels like a distant memory … but we’re nowhere near done for 2026 ❄️🎭

From now into 2027, Storytelling are thrilled to be supporting so many excellent shows. From the woman who really invented Monopoly to a hen do gone horribly wrong, from Gaelic theatre to three glorious pantomimes, there’s something for everyone on a cold, winter night💫

An t-Ùrlar as Àirde
No Apologies
DO NOT PASS GO
Sick! Festival: Beat two
Philosophy of the World
No Woman is an Island

📩 Venues, programmers and press: get in touch for the full winter roster and tour dates

These Are Our Neighbours

It’s 2021: a Glasgow street surrounds an immigration van for eight hours to protect two of its own. Katharine Williams’ world-premiere dance theatre piece is a re-telling of the famous attempted raid on Kenmure Street in 2021 and the powerful eight-hour act of shared resistance that followed - made with members of the Pollokshields community.

🗓️ Until Sat 17 Oct
📍 Citizens Theatre, Glasgow

Hen Night Horror

Fraser Boyle and Ali Cleland’s musical comedy-horror is back. One bride and her two warring bridesmaids, a remote Highland lodge … is something lurking out there in the dark?

What starts as a boozy getaway quickly descends into pure comedy chaos, in this original Scottish musical packed with hilarious lyrics, belting tunes, sharp Scottish wit and some genuinely spine-tingling surprises.

🗓️ On tour until 31 Oct
📍 Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow still to come

Concerned Others

Tortoise in a Nutshell’s tabletop documentary invites you into a miniature world of fragmented voices, creative puppetry and live micro-cinema, combining to shine a light on the human stories at the heart of Scotland’s worsening substance-dependency crisis. How might we imagine our recovery?

🗓️ On tour until 30 Oct
📍 Platform Easterhouse, Peebles Eastgate Theatre, Grangemouth Town Hall, Paisley Arts Centre, The Barn Bancho

A beautiful moment from @thegaiety 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 last Thursday ❤️🙏

Wonderful accompaniment from @jazzyarran 🎹 and huge thanks to @janiceaustin1960 for the video! 🙌

Two things I don’t normally do are put ‘phone vids’ from shows out on YouTube/in full on here but with this I thought ‘why not’? In my mind its the ideal song/vibe for a sleepy Sunday night, Sinatra’s ‘One For My Baby’ 👌

The Stage Door cafe, at @thegaiety, Ayr.

Had a late breakfast, on our last full day, recommended to us by Michelle @glutenfreegirlbakery.

What a great place, with parking bang opposite too. Chosen, primarily, because of its GF/coeliac options, it was delicious. I chose the lovely haggis, for my meaty option. Along with some traditional tatty scones. Lovely stuff. Cheers everyone😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

“Have you got the stomach for this, Debra?” 👀

Overheard at the bar during the interval of gala night…

And if that doesn’t make you want to know what happens in Hen Night Horror, we don’t know what will 💀

We’re saying NOTHING 🤐

But what we can tell you is gala night was absolutely electric. You screamed, you howled, you survived the madness… then brought the whole place to its feet.

A STANDING OVATION 😭👏

Debra doll, wherever you are, we hope you’re okay x
