A wet knot is harder to untie 💧🤍

We’re no strangers to rain making an unexpected appearance at weddings and events, but that doesn’t mean it has to crash the party.

We have plenty of gorgeous inside spaces at Matara, so there’s always a plan in place for when the weather has other ideas, with umbrellas at the ready to keep you covered (and your hair looking its best!).

Plus, if it does rain, you have the added bonus of gorgeous photos like this 🥰

An all British flower bouquet for Izzy at the height of the warmest summer on record

Cosmos, verbena, dahlia, trailing jasmine, garden rose, honeysuckle and sweet peas made a deliciously fragrant bouquet that kept true to Izzy’s desire to use only locally grown flowers

Sometimes a bride arrives with a very clear picture of her wedding flowers.
Sometimes she just knows how she wants them to feel.
Romantic. Wild. Elegant. Uncomplicated.
And that’s absolutely enough to begin with.
Creating flowers that feel like they belong to you is one of my favourite parts of the job.
My 2027 wedding diary is open.
Enquiries welcome via the website.

Lets raise a glass to the groom 🥂

To the happy tears, the nervous excitement, the biggest smile he’s worn all year and that moment he sees his bride walking down the aisle.

Tag your groom in the comments to let them know their love and support does not go unnoticed 🥺

Whilst saying our vows on our wedding day 14 years ago today, the biggest thunder, lightning and hail storm I’ve ever heard erupted. I remember looking at Oliver and the vicar in sheer disbelief and mild panic. Apparently rain on your wedding day is good luck though, not sure about what we had!
We also had power cuts and a pageboy in hospital…but! It was still the absolute BEST!

14 years married and 22 together! Yes, I did indeed undercount the other day 🤭
Still my favourite day and still absolutely adore my dress 🤍

“Do we need an On the Day Coordinator?”

A question you might be asking yourself about your marquee wedding. And maybe you don’t, but I’d like you to consider this scenario for me. It’s 6:30am, and you’ve just woken up on your wedding day to discover there's been a power cut, wiping out your entire postcode. Your chiller trailer needs re-wiring to a generator, you need to source power for your wedding ceremony on the lawn, and you need to find somewhere to get ready with your bridesmaids. And someone needs to contact all the suppliers to make all of these things happen.

Do you want to be doing all that? On the best day of your life? Or do you want a professional to take care of it for you?

This scenario did happen, for T&J’s wedding a few weekends ago. But we were on hand to start fielding those calls and liaising with the other suppliers, to make the day as wonderful as possible. And thanks to working alongside a really incredible team, we pulled the wedding off without a hitch, with none of the guests knowing anything had gone awry.

We know this is an unlikely scenario, but it’s not impossible. And countless other scenarios COULD pop up on your wedding day. And if they do, you will be so grateful to have us there to smooth them over and make sure the biggest party you ever throw goes off without a hitch.

So go on, pop us a message and book us for your On the Day coordination. We promise you won’t regret it.

Plan Hard. Party Harder.
