Oh ATL, how I’ve missed you.

So glad I could be in attendance to support for my dear friend, @michaelxward’s performance in “The Light”. He and Mary put on an amazing performance, with a subject that deserved the love and care these actors gave it. I’m truly proud of them.

I said I would never get into one of these Waymo’s….yet here I go 😟😳😨😱

I’m not gonna hold you, I enjoyed the ride. Though I’ve experienced some of my favorite Uber moments in ATL (remember I use to have a series on Facebook dedicated to how good the convos were lol), I must admit I enjoyed just being in silence with music and no one talking to me.

It was great catching up with Dev, walking around downtown and seeing how much the city changes every year.

The view from my hotel room during the day.

The view from my hotel room at night. I had no idea where “Tabernacle” was all these years.

I haven’t seen JL since I think before the panorama started. Far too much time has passed.

I felt like this street looked nothing like ATL, so I had to take a pic of it. I also love when a storm is coming and the sun is peaking out. There’s something so peaceful about it to me.

It was so good catching up with my friends (I also hadn’t seen Canade in FOREVER! We cut up like no time passed at all). I didn’t get to do half of what I wanted to do, I didn’t get to see everyone, and some of the beautiful people I did see….I didn’t get pics with. This is what happens when I go from traveling to ATL twice a year, to once. But I absolutely had a blast. Till next time.

ATL 2025 (Part III): Dear Atlanta, thank you. This is the longest I’ve gone without visiting since I moved, and I had no idea how much I missed you. Well I did, but you know. Anyway, thank you for showing me such a good time, breathing some much needed life into me. What’s projected on the outside isn’t always what’s going on inside. I needed every single day I spent there.

2025 has been a test. Who am I kidding, since moving to DC in 2022 I’ve been up against one of the biggest tests of my life. Even now I have no clue what my lesson will be when I leave the city….which is a first for me. But I’m manifesting great things to come. Thank you, ATL….thank you to everyone who made time to see me and spend time with me. Until next time 🍑💜🫂

An Art Fueled August refueling my actor and creative tank by supporting friends & extended family on the stage with great friends. 😔 @drseaberry we didn’t get a photo this time around for Ain’t No Mo’ but there will be others! Shakespeare’s First Play! Saw A Strange Loop twice and I’m seeing The Wiz this weekend with the BLACT family. Plus meeting Tourmaline at the Marsha P Johnson book launch with Holiday Simmons was a highlight. August has been a great month for me to support the incredible work my acting fam does. So if there is live theater in your city or coming to a city near you and you have the ability to see a show then please support theatre especially with many facing budget cuts!

2024 Reflections: Part I

2024 was a life changing year for me for so many different reason. A lot of pain, a lot of happiness. I meant many people and said goodbye to some as well. I was offered opportunity after opportunity and it continues to mean so much! Peace showed up in so many ways; however, I never thought I would face so much chaos as well. Thanks to everyone featured in these pics. My friends, my associates, my fellow healing workers and students. I learned a lot in the year of my favorite number. I’ll take the lessons learned into this new year.

Will I always feel like a Misfit? Yes. Will I always feel like most people don’t get me? Yes. However, what I will stop saying is that I’m alone. As I end one chapter of sadness and pain; I welcome a chapter of peace and happiness. One where I acknowledge that I’ve never been alone…ever. The universe has always had people in my corner. Convos on the phone, text messages, DM’s, checking on me at home, going out and having fun, introducing me to ways to better my mental health, loving me no matter what. I want to thank all of you. I couldn’t post everyone, which lets me know just how blessed I really am. If you’re not posted you know exactly who you are. I love you with everything in me. My sisters, my little brothers, best friends, family, my chosen family….I love yall so much and I thank you for loving me. I’m not alone….and though I may feel that way in the future I know better, posts like this will remind me. Thank you for seeing me when I’ve often felt invisible. Ase…
