Golf with purpose ⛳️

This was the Gio foundations second annual charity golf outing and it was an unforgettable experience! So many amazing people coming together to raise money for a mission that is changing the lives of countless children and families.

When Jen and Anthony lost their 4 year old son Giovanni Emil Zappitelli it forever changed their lives. Every day they are faced with a decision that no mom or dad should ever have to make…… give up or turn their deep pain into deep purpose.

The kind of purpose that impacts the world and allows Gio’s loving spirit pour into the hearts of countless people.

It takes a tremendous amount of courage and faith to show up ever day and choose purpose the way they do.

Gio and his beautiful family have impacted my life and it’s a honor to serve alongside his parents 🤍

Each year The KKFF chooses a community partner who has been instrumental in our ability to help people. Through thick and thin @thegiofoundation has been there from the beginning. When we ask there's no hesitation. From the toys at Kuz's Golden Ticket Christmas Drive to household goods, clothing and everyday essential items, GIO hooks us up. ..what an amazing weekend! We got to survive alongside @thegiofoundation @citychurchnc1!! It was awesome to see everyone come together for Kicks and Cuts!! Willow added another talent to the list, tattoo artist! Love seeing this girl grow in her faith, love for God and willingness to serve! You are one of a kind Willow!

Some sessions carry a little more meaning.

An afternoon spent at home—out in the garden, surrounded by blooms they’ve so lovingly tended, and later gathered in the kitchen making pizza together (because their Italian roots are felt most in the kitchen ❤️).

It felt easy. Relaxed. Full of connection.

This season for the Zappitelli family holds both deep love and deep remembrance. Their beautiful son, Gio, continues to shape the way they move through the world—with intention, generosity, and heart. His presence is woven into it all.

In his honor, Jenifer and her family created the The GIO Foundation—built around a simple but powerful idea: encouraging kids to “Go Inspire Others.” Through community drives, educational initiatives, and opportunities for young people to lead and give back, the foundation is helping raise a generation rooted in kindness, generosity, and compassion.

And now, alongside two joyful girls and a growing baby on the way, their story continues to unfold with so much beauty.

It was an honor to witness a small piece of it.
