FUTURTOPIA by EARTHLINGS was a poetic reclamation of what it means to be rooted; in land, in legacy, in the luscious texture of Black and Brown hair. Each garment in Roots Reclaimed reminded us that our curls and our earth are living things, both sacred, both requiring nourishment, both capable of wild, untamed beauty when left to thrive. This collection didn’t just walk, it bloomed.💐

Roots Reclaimed is a celebration of self-love, heritage, and the beauty of embracing natural hair in all its glory. This scene honors the journey back to our roots, where kinks, coils, and curls stand tall as symbols of resilience, culture, and pride.

The Life in Color series is an annual black history month exhibition created by Chasity Aniece. It is an immersive runway experience that encourages black excellence and culture through art, design, fashion, and music.
