Ms. Sharon, I hope you know how much you mean to me, our children, and the entire As I Plant This Seed family. Building something that matters takes people who believe in the mission enough to put their heart into it, and I’m grateful to have you beside me doing this work. Thank you for loving up on our kids, pouring into our families, and giving so much of yourself to help The Treehouse be a place they can depend on.

So much of this work happens when there’s no camera, no applause, and nobody there to say thank you. But please know that I see you, I appreciate you, and I don’t take your presence or your dedication for granted. The time, patience, and care you give matter more than you know. You are part of what our children will remember when they look back on the people who showed up for them. ❤️

🌱 SEEDLINGS ORIENTATION IS TONIGHT!!! 🌱

Parents and guardians, bring your children in grades 1st–5th to The Treehouse tonight from 5:30 PM–7:30 PM so the kids can learn about our Seedlings Mentorship Program and meet the people who will be pouring into them this year!
.
Mentorship should begin before children are forced to figure everything out on their own. Seedlings helps our younger children build confidence, communication skills, emotional intelligence, healthy relationships and self-efficacy while giving them a safe place to learn, have fun and be surrounded by people committed to their growth.
.
We are not just preparing children for the next grade—we are planting seeds that can shape who they become for the rest of their lives.

THE TALK TO ME MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IS BACK!!! 🌱💪🏾
.
We are calling ALL past participants and new youth to join us for Orientation Week at The Treehouse! For more than 11 years, Talk To Me has poured into hundreds of young people through real relationships, consistent mentorship and conversations that prepare them for real life.
.
This program helps youth strengthen their confidence, communication, emotional intelligence, decision-making, accountability and leadership. We create a space where young people are heard, challenged, supported and reminded that their lives have purpose.
.
The success of Talk To Me has never come from simply hosting programs or events. It comes from showing up week after week, building trust and remaining present as our youth grow. We believe mentorship should produce measurable change and there is no version of mentoring children without irrevocable responsibility.

When you think about our youth and what it truly takes to get through to them, you realize that a lot of people simply aren’t willing to go through what it takes to genuinely pour into the next generation.

That’s why we embedded going “Up and Beyond” into the system of our programs. It’s not just something we say it’s the standard we set for anyone who believes mentoring youth can be a revocable act.

🌱 It truly takes a village to build the future workforce.

I've witnessed it firsthand, not just as an educator and principal, but as a parent.

When my 11-year-old son started his entrepreneurial journey with a lemonade stand last year, our village showed up. Former teachers, local police officers, construction workers, neighbors, friends, and complete strangers all stopped to buy a cup of lemonade. They weren't just purchasing a drink, they were investing in a young entrepreneur's confidence.

That same spirit has continued to inspire me to tap into the power of community.

Today, I'm excited to officially introduce the 5 Tribe Village Builders Volunteer Program! Our year-round network of entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, and community leaders committed to helping prepare the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and future workforce leaders.

At 5 Tribe Vending, we believe career readiness starts long before a resume. It begins with a relationship, exposure, mentorship, and real-world experiences. 💛

As a Village Builder, you can:
✨ Share your career or entrepreneurial journey
🤝 Mentor aspiring young entrepreneurs
👀 Host a Career Shadow Day
💼 Provide internship or work-based learning opportunities
🎤 Coach students during our Youth Entrepreneurship Summit

It’s always tuff to lose a mentee and though my heart is heavy I know GOD don’t make mistakes. He call home who he wills sometimes sooner than later but we are only stewards and all things belong to GOD. I’m just glad I had the chance to know a kind loving and helpful human being such Chris.
