On Saturday 6th of May as part of 𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 #𝟴, the most extraordinary wrestling show, The Goldfish Bleeding in a Sea of Sharks, will play in Antwerp!

⏰ Saturday 6 May - 22:00
📍 Muziekstudio

Wrestling Club, choreographer and theatre director Thais di Marco reacts and reflects on the consequences of neoliberal thinking in the art market. This ideology, in which corruption, white supremacy and patriarchy are rampant, often means the end of local cultures and rituals.

To visualize the impact of this, Thais has been inspired by the traditional wrestling sport Lucha Libre, an important part of Latin American pop culture. In a whirlwind wrestling show, different artists compete
against each other in the battle for the most successful business model in the world.

Will they succeed in reforming or even destroying the neoliberal art market?

RADIANT NIGHTS #8 TURNING THE BUILDING INSIDE OUT
✦=================✦

With Radiant Nights, we lift the veil on the arts landscape of tomorrow. Four artists challenge normative views of the public spaces and public institutions.

Theatre maker and curator Pankaj Tiwari @pankajyavanika will be installing TENT: A School of Performative Practices. @banyan_tent
At the same time, P.A.R.T.S. alumnus Renato Miskolczi @renato_miskolczi explores the space between installation and performance in his breakneck vertical creation FLIES.

Ramos Sama & Younes Van Den Broeck (AKA Spitler) @fokovisme @spitleranvers @ramos_sama #younesvandenbroeck develop artistic work from the new art movement known as fokovism, their response to the often absurd artistic pigeon-holes into which an artist must fit.

The evening ends with a performance by choreographer Thais di Marco who mastered the codes of Mexican wrestling culture in order to criticise neoliberalism.
Following this intensive performance you can join BIXARIA, a Queer Brazilian dance party. @gunpowder.on.fire @thegoldfishbleeding

Sunday means a day of reminiscing and feeling a little melancholic. September started off with a bang as the beginning of the new cultural season and the end of our oh so beloved summer. We’ve had so much fun and are so excited for the upcoming season at WORM as there has been a lot of change and movement behind the scenes. We couldn’t be happier with our WORM family and friends that support us through thick and thin!

Enjoy this reel and see you all very soon, you know where to find us.

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
