A Prayer before Dawn by @thegoldvan
---------------------------------------

Based on the book "A Prayer Before Dawn: My Nightmare in Thailand's Prisons" by Billy Moore, it is the remarkable true story of Billy Moore, a young English boxer incarcerated in two of Thailand's most notorious prisons. He is quickly thrown into a terrifying world of drugs and gang violence, but when the prison authorities allow him to take part in the Muay Thai boxing tournaments, he realizes this might be his chance to get out. Billy embarks on a relentless, action-packed journey from one savage fight to the next, stopping at nothing to do whatever he must to preserve his life and regain his freedom. Shot in an actual Thai prison with a cast of primarily real inmates, A Prayer Before Dawn is a visceral, thrilling journey through an unforgettable hell on earth.

Really just trying to make ‘flavor daddy’ a thing.

This year, I’m thankful for the ability to put the words Single Fatty Virgin Daddy in big bold letters throughout New York.

Special thank you to @thegoldvan for making this a possibility and helping it come to life. You’re the real flavor daddy.

Walking to the starting line in Staten Island the MC guy said, “I know 50k runners sounds like a lot, but there are hundreds of thousands of people that we turn away that want to be in your shoes right now. Go enjoy the biggest block party in NYC.”

Yesterday was hard. It was hot. It was humid. And you just never really know how your body is going to react to those conditions. It started perfectly. Calm morning trek to the starting line with @mikesshapiro who’s the most prepared human I’ve ever met.
Bumped into friends in the corrals.
And we were off.
I felt solid through the first 10, chill, easy. I was ready to pick it up. But my stomach started to feel a little off like I wasn’t actually digesting my gels they were just sitting in my stomach. Mile 14 confirmed that when I immediately puked one up trying to take it down. It was a different run then. We slowed down. Focused on just getting water in and snagged a banana to try and get down.
On these long runs you know fuel is a game changer and that was just out of the question for me.
I walked up the queensboro bridge just trying to regroup. And that’s when my MC’s words kept coming back. I’m so damn lucky to be here. A gratitude run. All of these people out here screaming my name. All of these people who have supported me these past few months. All of this money raised to support Planned Parenthood. God I’m so lucky.
And we slogged through the rest with big smiles and open palms to the sky to take that energy in.

No matter what happened the NYC marathon is such a special day. To everyone who ran, you’re freaking amazing. Even those who didn’t finish, you showed up on one of the hardest days. To everyone who cheered, you have no idea how impactful that is. And to everyone who donated, my heart just bursts for you.

And don’t forget to vote.

Thank you 💗💗

This was truly one of the most breathtaking moments of my life. ✨ I will never forget night diviving with these majestic, graceful creatures.

Thank you to @bigislanddiver for sharing the beauty and complexity of the manta rays. Did you know that each manta has a unique pattern of spots on its ventral surface (belly), which remains largely unchanged throughout their lives?

Finally, manta rays are classified as vulnerable by the @redlist_of_ecosystems with populations continuing to decline. ⬇️

Truly grateful to experience these creatures with an amazing group of friends @audiepooopie, @bee_garrett @andycraigbk & @thegoldvan. 💗Thank you @internationalbunny for sharing your scuba footage from below. 🌊
