Sometimes i just look at my seeds and still can't believe God granted me the task of fathering this bunch. There's so much I want to give them but I know more then anything i want them to look back and say "Poppy gave us his time and he smiled and laughed and loved with us."

It sounds simple but a focused father can often get caught up in all the responsibilities and miss the moments. Trust, it's been me in many seasons but I'm reminding myself now that what's left in the end won't be the things we did. It'll be how we showed up and made each other feel. As much as we say I love you, I just want them to feel it x5.

A cautionary tale.

Some will immediately dismiss this as a problem they’ll never have. You control it, it doesn’t control you. I get it. Also, tread lightly. Sometimes addictions are only put in perspective in hindsight.

At the end of July, I decided enough was enough.

Isolation wasn’t healing me. Vices weren’t fixing anything. They were only numbing what I needed to surrender.

So I went back to the Source.

August was boundaries, obedience and consistency.

September, God started showing me glimpses of what can happen when I’m fully surrendered. Doors opened. Relationships strengthened. Opportunities grew. I grew.

Now October is about execution and being a good steward of what He’s trusted me with.

But I haven’t arrived.

Ephesians 2:10 says we are His workmanship. The Greek word is poiēma — His work, His creation.

I’m still being shaped.
Still being refined.
Still being written.

Struggle → Obedience → Consistency → Growth → Opportunity → Gratitude.

All Glory to God 🙏🏾
