First up, Flood Mitigation on Saturday 7 November, 3.30–4.30pm. We're joining award-winning Wiradjuri journalist Rae Johnston to talk about caring for, protecting and restoring water Country.

Then Caring for Water Country on Sunday 8 November, 12.30–1.30pm. We'll be there alongside Rae Johnston, filmmaker Ivan Sen and representatives from all 7 organisations featured in Overflow, including Baramadagal Community, Gamay Rangers, The Goondee Aboriginal Keeping Place & Museum, Joonga Land and Water Aboriginal Corporation, Moogahlin Performing Arts and Naru Indigenous Corporation.

Head over to @powerhousemuseum for the full program and to grab your tickets.

What happens when a community comes together to back First Nations-led solutions?

Six months ago, our community raised an incredible $274,046 through the First Nations Crowdfunding Event. Here's what that support has helped make possible.

👶 @coolamoncommunity has expanded into the Kimberley, delivering almost 40 Coolamons every month across eight locations. More families in remote communities now have access to safe sleep spaces, baby essentials and culturally affirming resources.

🏛️ Woganurra Aboriginal Corporation has begun refurbishing @thegoondee in Lightning Ridge, creating a stronger space for language revitalisation, truth-telling, cultural learning and local employment.

🏃 @deadlyrunners is developing a new trail running event on Country, creating opportunities for leadership, employment and connection while inviting more people to experience the power of running on Country.

Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, shared and believed in the power of collective giving.

Want to be part of the next story of impact? Join us at Equity & Inclusion Melbourne on 16 June, or support TFN through the link in our bio. 🔗

An honour to be invited as lead Artist on this project in 2024, created and delivered with guidance from my Yuwaalaraay, Gamilaraay and Murawari mentors, Elders, knowledge holders and practitioners. Bringing a story of country and connection through practice to young women in custody.

Looking forward to continuing yarns with the project in 2025/26.
