The theme was “animal print” & this is what I threw together! It took me just under an hour.

“Gothy Royal” makeup, darkling? 🖤 Believe it or not, this was the easiest & the quickest costume/character makeup I’ve ever applied! 🥀

I highly recommend practicing this, especially when you’re feeling undecided about your Halloween costume right now

HERE is what I used: 👇

White foundation - @sunsetmakeupofficial

@curstbeauty products:
-Translucent powder
- “sacrifice” from Spell Book palette for the blush
- Black matte eyeshadow & white shimmer highlight from Paranormal palette
- “Midnight” batty eyeliner
- Lip liner & liquid matte-drying lipstick in “Ritual”

Contour using a grayish purple shadow from @nyxcosmetics ultimate shadow palette

Diosa “goddess” false lashes (picked them up at the beauty aisle during one of my grocery runs 😉)

OO! Add even MORE royal flair by applying some rhinestones too! HAVE FUN with it, ghoulie pop!

Are you going to be a FULL MOON goddess? Or put some Dark Moon emojis in the Comments if you want to see the darker “sister look” to this one…

SO Here’s what I used to create this look 👇

I used one of my DIY underpainting hacks of mixing powder highlight with facial oil (or you can just use your favorite liquid highlighter & glaze your face with it 😉) to make that silvery glow, as well as the following products:

@nyxcosmetics - can’t stop won’t stop foundation & concealer, silver eyeliner
@curstbeauty - bites eyeshadow palette, paranormal eyeshadow palette, batty liner, spell lip liner, metallic lip potion***
@elfcosmetics - mascara, white no-budge cream eyeshadow
@inglot_cosmetics - duraline

As detailed as this may seem, especially that glittery under painting, I’ve taught a few how to apply something similar to this look and they’re off creating something completely their own! 🤘

So just know that no matter what any creator posts, your inspiration has the potential to take it so much further!

Add FANGS and you’re ready for a Vampire Ball🩸⚰️

Idk about you, but the idea of wearing a mask on my face in these hot temps doesn’t sound very fun lol

So why not do it with Makeup, right?!

Here’s what I did: 👇

To a Clean and Prepped Face…

2 full pumps of my foundation ➕ 1 pump of my white foundation from @sunsetmakeupofficial
👉 the perfect subtly pale base!

NEXT,
Apply all the colors for the “mask.”
I used colors from the following palettes:

@curstbeauty
- “Paranormal” from the PARANORMAL palette
- “Soulless” from the BITES palette
- “Abracadabra” multi chrome liquid eyeshadow

@colourpopcosmetics
- “It’s Grow Time” & “Flower Fields” for highlight from the Superbloom palette

>>PRO TIP: Duraline by @inglot_cosmetics can turn your favorite eyeshadows into waterproof liquid eyeliner<<

(You can also use your eyeshadow brush dampened with water for the same effect, but it won’t be waterproof) …onto the Next Step 👇

THEN, Draw on the mask 🖤 I used my @mehronmakeup Paradise AQ palette (black, of course!)

For the LIPS -
@nyxcosmetics Suede matte lipstick in shade “Moonwalk”

Finish off with mascara & your favorite gel eyeliner in the waterline …and Don’t forget some dramatic LASHES 🎭

I added my go-to “Film Noir” blush by @maccosmetics
and then I set everything with my @sunsetmakeupofficial matte setting spray

The BEST part is you can use whatever colors and designs you want for this one.

Just do what vibes for YOU, darkling 🖤

If you want to be a devilish lil Ghoul, all you’ll need is:

- Pale Foundation
(I like to mix a small amount of my @sunsetmakeupofficial White Foundation into my everyday foundation …I hear they now have a sheer formula too)

- all your favorite black and grey eyeshadows
(who says the perfect shade of eyeshadow can’t also be a contour shade? 😉 It’s Halloween)

- wing it out with your favorite eyeliner (or not)

- black lipstick (obviously) + some black glitter on top

- don’t forget the @mehronmakeup water activated paint for the line work

Add some sweet lashes and maybe your favorite contacts (both or just one), and the horns are optional, ghoulie 😉

And Set, Set, Set with that setting spray.

👉👉The only thing that really matters is that you Have fun with it!

SHARE THIS with someone who thinks it’s too late to start chasing a dream!

I spent nearly 20 years immersed in theatre/on-stage makeup, even a bit of cosplay...

but doing makeup *professionally* was something I didn’t know was a possibility for me..

but I started working toward this goal anyway. And NOW (4 Years later!), I’ve 👇

• taught countless makeup lessons,
• worked backstage at a fashion show,
• been booked for some amazing concept photoshoots
• won this competition👆just last year,

AND…
have worked as a Lead Makeup Artist for SeaWorld San Antonio for the past two seasons of Howl-o-Scream

…and about to start my third haunt season as a Lead Makeup Artist + Assistant to this season’s makeup manager! 🤘

Hey, I’ll take it!🤘…it’s a good thing, though, yes? 😅

Once a week, at least two of my three baby bats asks me to set up my compressors and airbrushes to show them how to paint “just like mom.”

How cute is that!! 🥹

It’s days like these that I’m glad I never gave up on becoming a makeup artist.

It’s kinda surreal to step back and realize that I’m inspiring an entirely different generation to be creative and confident

…But I can’t wait for the day when my tween becomes a teen and asks me to give her her first makeup tutorial! 🖤

…btw, the tween finally told me that “W” means like when something is kind of cool.

HUZZAH to being one of the weird, gothic, alternative, makeup-loving moms!
