Ladies Conference 2026 yesterday was an encounter in itself,it was filled with wisdom and impartation that reminded us that God has called us to be Ladies of Might.
Pastor Folajimi Adakole Williams blessed us deeply through her session, and I’m grateful for every word, every moment, and every reminder.
Some moments are too precious to simply pass by—they become markers.

One thing I'm grateful for this month is that I've been learning about prayer from a fresh perspective.Since the beginning of the month, our Pastor, Moses Makinde, has been taking us through a series of teachings on prayer. From last Sunday's message, "The Economy of Prayer," to Thursday's Global Word Feast teaching, "I Will Pray with My Understanding Also,"my understanding of prayer has been stretched in ways I didn't expect.
Here are a few truths that have stayed with me.

From The Economy of Prayer:
Prayer is powerful, but it is not a substitute for responsibility.
One statement that struck me was that Knowing about prayer is not enough; you must know how to operate the principles of prayer for it to truly profit you.

I was also reminded that:
• Prayer does not replace action.
• Prayer does not replace obedience.
• God hears every prayer, but He may not answer every prayer.
• Faith is indispensable. If you do not believe, you cannot fully enjoy the results of prayer.

Then on Thursday, we looked at "I Will Pray with My Understanding Also," and I came away with an even deeper appreciation for praying with understanding.
I learnt that praying in tongues and praying with understanding are not in competition. It is not this ‘or' that; it is this ‘and' that. God intends for us to embrace both.
A few other lessons that stood out were:
• If you are Word-bankrupt,if God's Word is not richly stored in your heart,it becomes difficult to pray with understanding.
• Praying with understanding helps you pray God's will because you are simply praying His Word back to Him.
• It helps you identify and track the answers to your prayers.
• It deepens your intimacy and bond with God.
• It strengthens you for spiritual warfare.

These teachings reminded me that prayer is much more than saying words or spending hours in God's presence. Effective prayer is rooted in faith, obedience, the Word of God, and a heart that understands what it is praying.

I'm grateful for these timely reminders, and I pray that I don't just become someone who knows about prayer, but someone who truly knows how to engage it effectively.
