Controlled chaos in a backpack! Tried my luck with @psychedelic_blues_film point and shoots last winter while on assignment and was really stoked on the randomness that ensued. Also, when you’re carrying around a backpack filled with a cast iron camera, the lightweight appeal of a point shoot to make photos is what I’m all about. Shot during the filming the latest episode of @thegreatdigression. Stay tuned!

A while back @mikebasich gave me his beloved and coveted Mini-16mm motion picture camera with century fish eye. Mikey used this camera to film epic POV snowboarding shots in Alaska way before the GoPro.

I stripped it down of its original on/off, handle, power source, and updated it with all modern accessories. I opened it up and re soldered all of the connections and did some shit that I had never done on that tip, but somehow figured it out! I was hyping it up super hard along the way to all my filmer friends but didn’t even know if it was gonna work. Well, I recently received the test roll back and sure enough it’s ALIVE!!! I can’t wait to put this thing to the test out in the field and bring it back to life in the shred realm. Thanks again for this gift Mikey! I’m truly honored for you to pass this priceless artifact onto me! BIG PLANS in the works for the MINI-16mm.
Stay tuned!

KJ rules. New @k_e_v_i_n_j_o_n_e_s footage is always a treat, especially when it's paired with some spoken word as found in the newest drop of The Great Digression by @the_schwartz . Go watch the whole vid on YouTube or wherever the hell you watch stuff like this. It's good.

The snow is flying and I’m currently in the editing bay working on the next episode. Thinking about how much more I love shooting these episodes than the daunting task of piecing it all together in the pain cave, haha! It’s shaping up to be a unique audio/visual experience though and I’m excited to share it.
