Here’s exactly what I’d do:

1. Master my camera first. I wouldn’t rush to buy expensive gear. I’d learn how to use manual mode, understand ISO, shutter speed and aperture.

2. Study light. I’d spend more time understanding natural light & strobe lighting. And how lighting can express the mood of an image.

3. Practice every single day. I’d take my camera everywhere and photograph anything. Because the fastest way to improve is by actually shooting.

4. Learn composition. I’d study framing, leading lines, angles and perspectives to make ordinary scenes look extraordinary.

5. Study photographers I admire. I’d analyse their work, understand their style and use it as inspiration to develop my own.

6. Stop waiting until I’m perfect. I’d put myself out there, take on opportunities and learn through experience.

And most importantly, I’d remember that becoming a good photographer isn’t about having the most expensive camera. It’s about training your eye, understanding light and learning to tell stories through your images.

Save this if you’re starting your photography journey and follow for part 2! 👏

Anniversary Couple Photo Shoot: Studio Session Results

We talk about this lovely couple’s anniversary photo shoot, starting with a classic black-on-black outfit and using a three to four light setup to create soft, intimate, and moody portraits. I guided them through poses and positioning to capture their connection naturally. Then we moved to a second outfit with a warm, minimal brown background for another soft, moody feel. The goal was to create portraits that capture their connection, personality, and the beautiful season they are celebrating together. If you’re looking for a studio couple or anniversary shoot, I would love to help bring your visions to life.
