16 remaining shows! Home for 8 days with my family to celebrate my daughter Vera’s 13th birthday. Then, I’m back to Europe to finish this year’s run of 70 “Who’s Keeping Time?” shows. We’ve had the incredible honor of inviting so many talented friends to join us on stage as a part of the band. For this final run of shows, we’ll have Luke and Kati of @thehacklesmusic open the shows, and play in the band. It has been such a joy to play these songs live, and we are looking forward to this next run, which, upon completion, will bring us home for some much needed down time for the holidays. Live music has felt like a balm in these broken times — thank you for showing up. This is the most concerts I’ve played in one year since 2011, and it’s good to be back at it with a full band. 💛

Another round of surprises and reunions. 1. Dropped in to pop up and see the @thehacklesmusic and @horsefeatherstheband at @clubcafelive 2. Hung out with the Undisputed Open-Mic Champion of the Student Union Coffee Shop Circuit (1998) Jared Fretz as well as 3. The legendary Natalie Jane. 4. The one and only Nathan Hart 5. The Honorary Yinzer Transplant Ali Davis 6. The Timeless Force to be Reckoned With Misty Cauthen. So damn grateful for decades of memories with these beautiful, steadfast friends. 💫

TONIGHT! @mysterymusickmonday ! Open jam night and mic night with Happy Hour all night long! Last week we had some performers from The Lion King grace our stage🤯 you never know what you’re gonna see!

WEDNESDAY🏖️ Jammy Buffet is where Jimmy Buffett’s coastal storytelling meets jam-band improvisation.Fronted by singer-songwriter Bob Barrick with Brendan Mayer, Mickey Lenny, Tyler Gwynn,and Zeb Briskovich, the Colorado–Tennessee group revives Buffett’s “Gulf & Western” soundwith fresh energy and musicianship.

THURSDAY🎶 The Inspector Cluzo is a French rock group from Mont-de-Marsan, Landes, France that formed in 2007. The group is composed of Laurent “Malcolm” Lacrouts on the guitar and vocals and Mathieu “Phil” Jourdain on the drums. Both are Mont-de-Marsan natives and former members of the band Wolfunkind

FRIDAY♣️ We welcome back Joey Adams! An Ohio native moved to West Virginia, Joey Adams combines both the rock n roll he grew up on with the Appalachian bluegrass he’s come to love.

12PM VIP 1-3 EVENT: Come celebrate the wild woman within you at the D Word book launch on Saturday at 1pm. Enjoy an afternoon of live music from Pittsburgh icon Byron Nash, a reading from the book, a special celebratory spritzer, book signing, and time to connect with other badass women doing their own wild heart awakening. For those ready to go deeper, the VIP experience begins at noon, including a private meditation and personalized book signing with Dr. Steph. Club Cafe sets the perfect tone for what this afternoon is going to be: entertaining and nourishing!

7PM Doors 8PM Horse Feathers’ debut album, Words Are Dead, celebrates its 20th anniversary. To support the release, Horse Feathers’ current ensemble of Justin Ringle (guitar, vocals, banjo), Nathan Crockett (violin, saw), Halli Anderson of River Whyless (violin, vocals), Kati Claborn of Blind Pilot (banjo, vocals, clarinet), and Luke Ydstie also of Blind Pilot (bass, cello, vocals) faithfully recreate the mood of the original release with taut dynamics and sensitive
arrangements.

Horse Feathers hit the road again tomorrow and in just 1 week, between Manhattan and Cambridge, they stop in New Haven for a Saturday evening backyard show.

In 2026, Horse Feathers’ debut album, Words Are Dead, celebrates its 20th anniversary. Kill Rock Stars is set to release a deluxe reissue that will be completely remastered and pressed on an exclusive vinyl color. It will include a replica of their original six-song demo CD in the package, along with a deluxe foil-stamped LP jacket.

To support the release, Horse Feathers’ current ensemble of Justin Ringle (guitar, vocals, banjo), Nathan Crockett (violin, saw), Halli Anderson of River Whyless (violin, vocals), Kati Claborn of Blind Pilot (banjo, vocals, clarinet), and Luke Ydstie also of Blind Pilot (bass, cello, vocals) faithfully recreate the mood of the original release with taut dynamics and sensitive arrangements.

This stands as a perfect end of summer evening with 5 folk musicians on the deck with you and friends in the backyard. You know late September in New Haven is pretty much perfect weather, add in Banjo, Violin, Clarinet, Bass & Cello and it should be pretty magical.

This show is only $25, which is about a dollar for each year they've been in existence. Sounds like a steal. If we end up going indoors due to weather, we're about 1/2 way on the RSVP list.
