We had our first Canicross Cork run today.

This is just the start of something amazing. There’s more to consider when running with dogs than most folk realise, Canicross Cork is here to help those who are interested in keeping fit and having fun with their dogs - and meet like minded people in the process.

If you are keen on joining us sometime, drop us a message.

Today was all about getting used to the equipment and the route. But given everyone took to it so well, we threw in a few over taking drills.

We talked a bit about appropriate terrain and temperatures for running with dogs and how humidity plays a big factor in gauging if the conditions are okay for our K9 family.

Fabulous seeing the runners adapt the session to suit their dog’s needs. This is what it is all about; listening to our dogs and being willing to make changes for their comfort and happiness.

A bonus little coffee afterwards from the lovely ladies at @perked_upcoffee

Our next run is on Sunday 18th October, Ballincollig Regional Park, 3pm. If you’re keen to join us, drop a us a message.

Some moments ask for nothing more than a quiet call... and the unwavering trust that follows.

Wrapped in soft knits, beneath a rain-filled sky, with the sea stretching endlessly behind us. The kind of walk where time slows, every step feels intentional, and they’re always by your side.

For every adventure, near or far.
