I stopped by @thewoollybulldog today to get a braid of Heinz 57 and a Crow-chet Calendar. I was excited to see several shelves of lovely things from @thehazelwitchknits so I had to get some of those too.

Has anyone ever done a batt/braid combo spin? Should I turn the braid into a batt or rolags? Then I could layer the batts and draft together. Or alternate clumps of each. Or I could spin each on their own and ply together. Any suggestions?

CHECK IT OUT!!

I managed to snag some Raspberry Thicket dyed on a tweedy Polwarth blend from my lovely friend @thehazelwitchknits, along with some of her dyed BFL locks, and spun them all up together into this funky little textured skein.

Never going to get over all the little curls poking out everywhere… The last photo in the carousel is Imogen’s so you guys can see what the fiber looked like before I got my hands on it.

So freaking cuteeee

I HAVE to show off these insane batts I got from my sweet angel friend @thehazelwitchknits because I cannot stop staring at them.

Imogen and I traded a pound of fiber so we could each spin sweater quantities of each other’s work and I am absolutely beside myself over what she sent me.

Like I’m sorry???? GRIZZLY FUR????????

The colors are PERFECT. The texture is PERFECT. This whole blend feels so ridiculously me and I swear she knows my brain better than I do.

I actually already spun the entire pound up immediately because apparently I have no self control 🙃

I ordered some Ebony Haunui that I’m planning to ply with it and if all goes according to plan this is becoming a #WintersPullover by @ozetta .

Now I’m just sitting here waiting for the Haunui to escape customs because it has been stuck there for DAYS so everybody please send good vibes because I am READY TO KNIT.

Huge huge love to Imogen for this absolute masterpiece 🖤
