For the first time ever, we’re bringing Gaining Ground together for one big night — January 22, 2027

Whether you’ve been at Gaining Ground from the beginning, you’ve come once or twice, or you’ve never been to anything we’ve done, this is for you.

Gaining Ground is really simple. We want to help men grow. In our faith. In our marriages. As dads. As leaders. In our friendships. In our work. In the things nobody else sees.

Because every man has a next step. Every man has areas where he can get better. And we believe we get better when we get around other men who want the same thing.

This is going to be the biggest Gaining Ground event we’ve ever done, and YOU are invited.

Tag someone who needs to be there & comment “CONFERENCE” to save your spot.

Sitting on my deck with a bunch of my favorite things, my wife is here also but she won’t let me post her picture.

Why does the same temptation keep finding you?

Maybe it’s because the enemy knows exactly where you’re vulnerable.

Stop fighting a spiritual battle with human weapons.

20 years since my last jump.

Missed the adrenaline of firefighting, so naturally I jumped out of a perfectly good airplane 🦅

Occupational therapy, I guess 😂🪂🔥

A good man doesn't just fight for himself.

He fights for his brothers.

He prays for them.

He checks on them.

He stands beside them.

And when they're down, he doesn't walk away.

That's Herd Strong.

Your marriage is bigger than two people who happen to live together.

It's a picture of God's design.

So when everything starts telling you to separate, isolate, and give up, stop and ask:

Who benefits if we turn against each other?

Your spouse is not your enemy.

Fight for them.

"I got this."

How many times have you said it?

You can be strong and still need help.

You can be capable and still need brothers beside you.

You can lead and still need someone to have your back.

The strongest men don't stand alone. They stand together.

You can fight alone for a while.

That's what makes isolation so dangerous.

You might even convince yourself you're doing fine.

But eventually, everybody needs somebody standing beside them.

Get in the herd.

Close the tab.

Delete the number. Walk away. Ask for help. Confess it.

Whatever you've been making excuses for, it's time to stop pretending it isn't costing you something.

You can't fight with both hands while holding onto what you refuse to surrender.

Some men are so committed to providing for their families that they forget they need to be present for them, too.

Rest isn't quitting. It's not weakness. And it isn't selfish.

Sometimes you need to get away with God so you can come back and be the husband and dad your family needs.

A strong man knows how to stand.
A godly man also knows when to kneel.
