To a 2026 of playing outside and human connection 🫶🫶

--------

A highlight of 2025.

July 31, 2025. I meet @nick_lifeeee8787 and @mikeybizzzz in a park after seeing their post on facebook about the parkline they were setting up.

Two days later I'm travelling 200km north of Toronto with Nick to hop on a highline for the first time since I got introduced to the sport 2 years prior in Yosemite. Little did I know I was about to experience a most epic weekend of highligning, cliff jumping, fire juggling, poi and hospitality.

I think we were all in disbelief that two strangers, Kat and Corey, who had no connection to the sport would invite us out of the blue not only onto their property to setup this line and camp, but also into their home where they gave us food and even offered us showers! For myself this feeling of disbelief was multiplied tenfold as I entered the weekend a stranger to both our hosts and the Ontario Highline group and left a friend.

As a new graduate trying to figure out what to make of his life and how to balance doing what feels responsible against chasing adventure, I am so incredibly grateful to my newfound friends for that first weekend in August. Over the years I've truly come to know and appreicate that I am a product of both myself but more so, all the awesome people I meet.

To my friends from Yosemite, if you're reading this thank you for opening up my world and introducing me to all these amazing things that I can continue today. It was far too short lived, I miss you all and I hope to see you soon!

Highlining is awesome. People are awesome. To all my friends near and far, I hope your 2026 is awesome.
