Keeping it real… I did not wanna hike. I’m glad I did. The trail was very pretty. The dogs had an absolute blast and needed this so bad.

But I was exhausted. 😴 I slept 9.5 hrs last night. So remember, it’s ok to have to force yourself sometimes. It’s also ok to not go. I forced myself for the dogs and I’m glad I did but sometimes you have to listen to your body.

Utah Diary
Part 4 of 4: Rock Canyon & Khyv Road

Another great, rainy day! Despite the weather, this trip has been absolutely stunning and we’ve made some absolutely amazing memories. The dogs had a blast & we had a blast.

Salt Lake City… we’ll be back! Let’s have some sun next time!

Day 3

📍 Mount Timpanogos

Another wet day but an amazing hike. We were past peak for fall colors but it still was showing off hard. It was an absolute stunning trail that we were in awe of the entire hike. Then I spent some time at the Airbnb and discovered they had a Polaroid camera and photo album of dogs who’d stayed there. So of course we added our photo. Enjoyed some relaxing and dinner.

Stay tuned for part 4!

Utah Diary
Day 2: Bonneville Salt Flats

The weather may not have been ideal but we made the best of it and had so much fun! Not many get to see the salt flats flooded. Looked more like a lake than flats. It was gorgeous in its own way! The dogs had an absolute blast!

Stay tuned for part 3 tomorrow!

Day 1 | Travel Day

@thehullpack and us left at 5:15 am and arrived at our Airbnb’s around 5pm. The drive was STUNNING and we found great places to stretch dog’s legs, hike a bit and have fun. We used walkie talkies to talk the whole trip.

It’s going to be a rainy trip but stay tuned for Part 2.

Life is funny…

We used to always tell Danielle ( @thehullpack ) that she was crazy and her dogs were spoiled. Always worried about them, their comfort, being left along, etc etc. We assumed her dogs were just so pampered.

Then we got Archer. Turns out… it’s a Dane thing 😂 He’s literally like a toddler and throws tantrums when he’s not with his people, gets sad/needy if he’s uncomfortable. He demands different proteins regularly for meals, must ALWAYS know where we are.

And now we get it. We’ve turned into those people constantly worried about the dogs. Not that Chandler & Lorelai aren’t spoiled or we didn’t worry about them but it’s different. They’re chill. They’ll just sleep or hangout if we leave. They don’t throw tantrums or have panic attacks over us. Archer does. 😅

Yet… I wouldn’t change a thing. Turns out… I’m a Great Dane girl (well and a GSP girl 😉). We’ll always have at least one but for sure two someday!

Another day of leaf peeping 💛

Most of the leaves had fallen but having them on the ground with the sun shining through felt almost magical. It’s always a good day with Shad, the dogs and @thehullpack 💛 Fall has sparked a hiking bug in me. Ready for our next adventure day already.

It's Friday! That means weekend adventures are here.
What adventures are you taking this weekend? I'll be in the studio working on orders, new stuff, and a quick photo shoot nearby.

Leaf peeping 🍂👀

Yesterday was such a great day with @thehullpack 🧡 We found a few hidden gems that allowed our dogs to have an absolute blast! First we did 2.5 miles on a trail that we had to ourselves. Then we drove down a dirt road and enjoyed some lunch. On our way to our second destination, we saw a gorgeous moose 🫎. Then we found another dirt road that allowed us to get another mile in for the humans and who knows what distance for the pups. They enjoyed some treatos and we enjoyed a caramel apple Olipop!

Such a chill, beautiful day. Perfect Colorado leaf peeping

Have you ever bought yourself something nice and it ends up becoming the dogs? 😅

Apparently the dogs really enjoyed these new camp chairs we got! Especially Lorelai! Might have to get her her own chair so we can still use ours!

Also… Amazon for the win with these chairs. Sooo cozy! 🩶
