October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and for us it will always be about Hayden. 💜

On July 6, 2024, we lost him in a shooting that started with domestic violence. More than two years later, missing him is still the hardest part of every single day. He was goofy, loyal, loved fishing, and had a heart bigger than any room he walked into.

Maintenance monday isn’t just for fixing leaky faucets! Olla is officially “Green Dot Certified” ✅ Last week we had the pleasure of inviting @theioncenter to Olla for one of the most important meetings we have had as a team thus far. Our relationship with The Ion Center indirectly goes back to 2022, when we started joining @realtacofest at Smale Park. a lot of people come for the food, drinks, and vibes but have no idea that a portion of their proceeds go toward The Ion Center for their Violence Prevention and other community efforts. We were honored to bring our team together to have tough conversations about how to identify and stop potentially violent situations, which is a critical skill to have in the hospitality industry. Giving back never goes out of style 🤍

Yesterday, we had the honor of donating over $8,000 worth of professional hair care products to the Ion Center for Violence Prevention.

As we recently transitioned from Kevin Murphy to Davines (clients-don’t worry, we’ll always carry Kevin Murphy’s Bedroom Hair Texturizing Hairspray), we found ourselves with an abundance of beautiful products that still had so much value to give. Rather than let them sit on a shelf, we knew they belonged in the hands of people who could truly benefit from them.

Supporting organizations that provide safety, healing, and hope to our community is something we deeply believe in, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Ion Center.

Thank you to everyone who supports Bombshell. Because of you, we’re able to do more than create beautiful hair- we are able to make a meaningful impact beyond our salon walls. That’s the Bombshell difference.

As the school year wraps up I want to make an appreciation post for the ION Center for Violence Prevention who has allowed me to do an internship this semester with the Crisis Response Team and forensic nurses with the local hospitals. I have had the privilege to present my “Importance of Forensic Nursing” presentation at NKU, attend the 2026 KSAAP conference in Frankfort, and make many connections with local non-profit programs and leaders! Thank you so much @theioncenter 💛🤍💛

We’re excited to welcome new and renewing members who rely on our Marketplace to support people in need. These organizations turn membership into a direct lifeline for the individuals and families they serve.

The Marketplace and our voucher program give agencies the ability to place essential goods directly into the hands of community members at no cost to the individuals receiving them. Through membership, nonprofits receive vouchers they can distribute to clients, empowering them to shop for household items, personal care products, school supplies, toys, and much, much more. This approach preserves dignity, offers choice, and meets immediate needs with compassion.
