We recently hosted an Art Walk showcasing murals created by Jubilee residents, staff, and program participants, DC-based artists, community members, and friends.

King of the Anacostia.

Anytime I see a Great Blue Heron, I stop... Is that even real?

How lucky we are in DC that these living statues are not only real, but that we get to see them along a river that was once one of the most polluted in the country. A testament to the resilience of the Anacostia & the city we love.

Naturally, @thejahone and I could think of no better muse for this year’s @anacostiamuralsfest (which yes, was back in May—posting is hard 🫠). Many, many thx to @chbcartgallery for organizing and s/o to @alldaymurals1 and @nokittenheels for being the best wall partners around. Out here in Washington, D.C., feeling the soul, feeling the culture. Pulled up with my man @thejahone to rock this wall and put this new @rustospraypaint to the test. As you can see, all things went according to plan 🖖🏿, even outlined with old Rusto for nostalgia's sake! I love it when a plan comes together. 👊🏿🫡
