@thebourbonbonanza regionals are cool and all, but nothing compares to the main event in the 502. Was blessed to have a heavy @blackbourbonrun presence at this one as well.

Sent the summer off in style with one last summer barbecue and pool day. We had a scorcher of a day and lots of fun with friends. Also got to try lots of the recent annual bourbon month releases courtesy of those same great friends.

What a great way to end KBF weekend with a nice @blackmaplehill brunch at @coxs_evergreen_liquors. Always fun to see what goodies Pablo brings for us to try and getting a good breakfast was key to keeping us going for the day. Do you know how many bottle shares I’ve been to?

The best thing about the whiskey community is the community followed by the whiskey. Popping some potent potables is simply a conduit to convene with friends new and old, and that’s why every enthusiast worth their weight in Willett loves a good bottle share.

Normally what elevates a share from good to great is the quality of those two main ingredients, the whiskey and the community, but this year for Bourbon Bonanza someone dared to dream bigger. What if a great bottle share brought in a dope DJ, incredible aerialists, crazy contortionists, and hosted it all in a church that was converted into one of Kentucky’s most badass bars?

You end up with the single most memorable bottle share I’ve ever been to.

Oh, and drinking the best rye ever made alongside international man of mystery Seth Weinberg didn’t hurt 😳👨🏻😂

After missing out on @thebourbonbonanza last year, I blocked off the whole weekend this year for all of the stuff I could make happen. I am super fortunate to have met so many amazing individuals in the whiskey community and many of the industry professionals I have met along the way have become true friends as well. If you have the chance to attend a Bonanza event, do it.

10 year Kentucky rye coming in at a ROBUST 155.9 proof got my attention and we know I love the wild barrels that @pablo_moix has been sourcing. Was fortunate enough to try another 10 year rye this weekend and hoping this one has the same unique chocolate notes I got from it. Anybody else tried one of this new run of Brook Hill ryes?

LA FAMILIA - July flew by and I barely captured most of the memories. The month wrapped up with an unforgettable weekend in Bardstown. It is amazing how bourbon and cigars can bring some of the best people together. I would consider many people I have met through this to be my family. This month included some epic pours, smokes and so much laughter. Cant wait to continue creating lifelong memories with everyone.

Friday was a wonderful way to kickoff a weekend of celebrating @firemanmike’s bday. Estate Tour followed by an epic bottle share well into the morning! So fortunate to have such great friends to do these sorts of things with and create memories and friendships from.
