So live, so raw and powerful, healing and sublime is the true roots music of Africa. This sound comes via the Candomble spiritual tradition into a music style known as Maracatu from Brazil. And this is master drummer Pitoco from Estrela Brilhante whom we had the pleasure of learning from this week in a series of three drum workshops at motherland music. Obrigado Pitoco!!
