Power in Her Presence was never meant to be just another women’s event... The idea was simple: put women in a room who are actually willing to talk about the things that help us grow. ✨health ✨longevity ✨confidence ✨marketing ✨money 12 women. 5 conversations. Different stories, different experiences, different perspectives. Between the panels, the laughs and the conversations happening around the room, women connected. They exchanged information. They learned from each other. Some of those connections even continued after the experience ended. That was the point👀 Not just to leave inspired for a day, but to leave with something…a new perspective, a new connection, a new idea, or maybe just a little more confidence in where you’re headed. The feedback afterward said it better than I ever could: intentional, powerful, comforting, authentic, open + supportive. 🥹 THAT is She Thrives 101. Creating spaces for real conversations with women who are creating lives they actually want to live, and reminding other women that they can too! No gatekeeping. Just women helping women thrive. Be the director of your own life🎬 📸: @taylormademedia.nc #raleighnc #womeninspiringwomen #shethrives101 #raleighwomen

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! 🧠😂 What happens when a brain health & resilience expert and a psychologist/TEDx speaker/stand-up comedian get together and ask: What if we didn’t just TALK about the benefits of laughter…what if we actually experienced them? Introducing LADIES LAUGHTER LAB: An Immersive Experience in Humor, Resilience & Brain Health! 💗 Jen Shepard and I are combining neuroscience, psychology, humor and PLAY for a completely unique two-hour experience designed especially for women. You’ll learn a little about what actually happens in your brain and body when you laugh-and then we’re going to put the science into action. Expect to laugh, connect, play and rediscover some of the lightness we tend to lose in our very busy, very grown-up lives. And NO-you don’t have to be funny, perform, or do anything painfully awkward. 😂 Everything is designed to be fun, welcoming and low-pressure. 📅 Thursday, November 12 | 5:30–7:30 PM 📍 Curate Studio Come curious. Leave laughing. 💕 🎟️ Tickets are officially LIVE! Link in bio. Early Bird discount is in effect through October 31 and space is limited! We can’t wait to laugh with you!🥰

Symptom Sunday: Brain Fog-Part 1 (the what and why) Brain fog…. 🧠 Word finding difficulty 🧠 Forgetfulness 🧠 Losing your train of thought 🧠 Problems concentrating 🧠 Feeling mentally slower than usual This can be due to changing hormones, sleep, disruptions, impacts on mood and stress and potentially other health conditions. Women may say things like: I don’t feel as sharp at work I know the word but I can’t pull it up Why did I walk into this room? The key things to think about are: 1. Figure out the cognitive complaint. 2. Evaluate your sleep. 3. Check in on your mood and stress load. 4. Review your fueling and recovery. 5. Consider other symptoms you may be having that maybe part of other medical contributors. 6. Don’t forget to dress menopause symptoms as a hole rather than in isolation. Stay tuned for the second part of this video, which will talk about lifestyle changes that we can do easily to help reduce brain fog. If you know me, you know I love nothing more than supporting women who are out here creating beautiful things; and last night was exactly that🤩 I was an outside kid through and through. I loved hula hooping, painting, making bracelets…anything that let me create, play, and simply be free. Last night, I got to do all of that again, except this time I was surrounded by grown-ass women I’ve built such beautiful relationships with. We were outside, playing, laughing, creating, and having some fun. I also got to meet some amazing new women! @thefunsideclub came from Charlotte to host an event with @camellia_jade at @hartwellraleigh and honestly, it felt like something Raleigh really needed. I’ve put a lot of work into learning how to turn off “Business Jalen” and give myself permission to simply do what feels good. To color. To create. To go outside. To play without feeling like every moment needs to be productive. The truth is, every woman in that space is carrying something. Life can be hard, and we can still make room for joy. We can be healing and laughing. We can be figuring life out and still letting ourselves play. Last night was such a beautiful reminder that joy doesn’t mean the hard things aren’t happening, it means we’re choosing not to let them take everything from us✨ #raleighnc #loveyourlife #happiness #downtownraleigh #liveyourlife

I had a vision to bring powerful, everyday women into one room; not just to sit and listen, but to actually connect, learn from one another, and leave knowing they weren’t alone. Power in Her Presence went by so fast, but the work behind it was anything but quick. I poured so much into bringing this vision to life, and honestly… about seven things went wrong during the week and even the day of 🙃 But that’s the part people don’t always see: the pivots, the pressure, and the decision to keep going anyway. I watched women exchange numbers, follow each other, share resources, start conversations, and make genuine connections. That’s how I know every moment of planning was worth it. It was never about creating a “perfect” event. It was about creating a room where women felt seen, inspired, and reminded of the power in their own presence. And I think that’s exactly what happened, PLUS we got to give back to the community while doing it. Big thank you to @sage.inc for having us ! &&& @raleighwaxologist @holisticharmonyraleigh for sponsoring ❤️‍🔥 #raleighnc #raleighwomen #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen
