You can listen to “Contender” now. Click on my Komi link in my bio. There is a link to the song to any streaming service you prefer.

I got the inspiration for this one from On the Waterfront. Marlon Brando’s character, Terry Malloy, talks about how he “coulda been a contender” after missing his shot.

PSYC(HOT)IC! is yours!!! ❤️‍🔥

once upon a time I had a man being abusive towards me and when I’d talk to other people about what he was doing to me it would result in him telling me I was crazy and threatening that me talking about what happened was a huge mistake for ME. I hope this song serves as a reminder to anyone and everyone that speaking your truth is your RIGHT and anyone who tries to convince you otherwise more than likely is afraid of the consequences. Your voice is powerful and I hope we all find the strength to stand up for ourselves despite the fear of retaliation❤️‍🔥

2023 was an absolute shit show for me and at the end of 2024 this is one of the first songs I wrote after taking a break from music. Thank you @thejohnjfox for always making me feel so comfortable to say what I want to say. I love writing with you!! @michaeljbono for helping bring this to life starting with vocals literally in my closet lol @anthonyreedermixes & @lukepimentel are pretty much my safe space when it comes to getting songs across the finish line, I love you all!!
