POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We celebrate when someone beats a case.
We celebrate when someone gets another chance at life.
We celebrate when somebody gets to go home.

Jesus did all 3.😭

My husband came home and said something that really got to me.

Everybody is posting “NOT GUILTY!” Celebrating. Reposting. Feeling genuine excitement and emotion over a man most of us have never met being declared innocent.

And he said, “Imagine if people felt that way about Jesus.”

Whew.👏😭

Because Jesus Christ was innocent too.👀

Except His story didn’t end with an acquittal!!!!

He was not guilty… and still received the sentence.

Pilate himself said, “I find no fault in him.” — John 18:38

Jesus didn’t die because they proved Him guilty. He willingly laid His life down for people who were guilty, us.

Not guilty.
Still sentenced.
Still crucified.
Still chose us.

And three days later… still victorious. ✝️

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV

If somebody else’s “NOT GUILTY” can make the whole internet rejoice, imagine how much more the Gospel should move us. 👏😭
