James Juke invites Dee Diggs for an intimate night of groovy, soulful house music for the latest edition of The Jukeboxx [@thejukeboxx.party]. These days it’s common to see Dee playing top venues around the world, laying down her unique style of “heavy, yet soft house”. Her sets are widely described as adventurous, energetic, seductive, and rapturous.

Now label-mates at toucan sounds, James and Dee express themselves equally in the booth and the studio. They share a passion for house music that doesn’t shy away from vocals, music that pulls you in as much as it moves you. This will likely be one of those nights you probably won’t catch again any time soon, one that reminds you of the power of top-notch music on a system built for it.

Opening set by Nick Hallam [@nhallam].

Brooklyn based DJ/producer James Juke [@heyjamesjuke] has released music on labels including Rekids, Nervous, and Robsoul and remixed Channel Tres, LION BABE, and Dave + Sam. The San Francisco native has accomplished this output while playing venues including Brooklyn Mirage, Public Records, and H0L0 and parties like LA’s Ostbahnhof and gome + the gang at Golden Pudel in Hamburg. He also hosts his quarterly party, The Jukeboxx [@thejukeboxx.party], at Bossa Nova Civic Club. When he doesn’t have his headphones on, you can catch him roasting coffee, serving natural wine, and hanging with his cat, Trumpet.

Luis Baquero (aka Bakke) [@bakke__], Colombian currently based in NYC is a profound being who lives, breathes, and flourishes in the art of DJing since he was 15 years old. Since he was a little human he became fascinated with the polyrhythmic and synth-laden sounds of the 80s/90s golden eras. Raised in South Florida and influenced heavily by the progressive and electro scenes of the early 2000s, this was the fuel that ignited his creativity and led down the rabbit hole to the world of house and techno. He currently holds a residency at one of the most important music institutions in the world: Space Miami.

If you love house music, The Jukeboxx with James Juke & Bakke will satiate all your desires. From disco and proto-house to its most forward thinking iterations, these two will trace the lineage of the genre in a masterful way.

Who else is feeling groovy? I couldn’t be more excited to have @pintomusicnyc as my special guest tonight for @thejukeboxx.party at @wiggleroom.bar. He has an extensive catalogue of some of my favorite sample-based music and is supremely skilled behind the decks. After many years of hard work and consistency, he’s developing into a rising star, evident from consistent support from the likes of @carlcoxofficial and @tshamusic. Come early stay late 😈🪩🕺🏻
