These are (were!) @levainbakery cookies!!! 😍😍😍 I cant believe I’ve been to NYC several times and never made it. Shame on me. They are every bit worth the hype. Even with their 36 hour journey from oven to my greedy self via the amazing friend that is @katymarketfresh 🥰 This chocolate chip and walnut and the chocolate peanut butter chip tied for my favourite. 🤤

Absolutely ecstatic for brilliant @selinaperiam celebrating the publication of her stunning debut cookbook #TheIslandKitchen with @bloomsburycooks! 👏🏼🏝🙌🏼 Having watched this incredibly talented lady put so much into achieving this dream over the years that I’ve known her, I am completely in awe of her passion and endless determination, and so thrilled for all of the success and happiness that she so rightly deserves ❤️ So wonderful to see the much-loved recipes from her supperclubs (like this upside down pineapple cake) plus so many fab new dishes in print for us lucky folk to enjoy recreating in our homes, and so delighted that we were able to raise a glass (or two!) in her honour together this week! 🥂 Huge congratulations honey! 😽

Chocolate babka 2.0
Great flavour, (I added extra cinnamon), if I’m brutal I would say a little dry, maybe adjust the cooking time by about 5 minutes, but.., great with a cuppa.

Time to properly taste the babka.
The peanut butter comes through nicely without being over powering and wasn’t as dry as I thought.
Really pleased with the unusual variety of babka.., what to do next???

Baked well, if I’m really harsh it’s a little dry, but, happy with how the experiment turned out. The peanut butter isn’t over powering and this will be great with a cup of tea later.

Brunch @daisygreencollection. I adore their spots. They're so inventive and their food tastes even better than it looks. This was the new one, Little Green, on Heddon St. Beautiful space and an amazing menu with little twists that work so well. 🍳 Benny Boy - Parma ham, comté, sauerkraut, lemon hollandaise & ferments. Perfect. 🌽 Sweetcorn & spring green fritters - gorgeous. So crispy and ridiculously moreish. 🥓 Fancy bacon roll - poached eggs, crispy onions, bacon, Holy F*ck hollandaise, paratha roti. So so good. Fresh, amazing flavours all bouncing off each other ❤️
DG is a lesson in brunch & ethical sourcing of ingredients. Go go go, I promise you won't be disappointed 💚
