Behind the scenes of Genius Trait #5 of 24: HONESTY, featuring Miguel Lugo. This story took us far beyond the interview chair. We sat down with Miguel to hear his story in his own words, then got in the car with him and drove through the places connected to his life and the community he is part of today. Along the way, he showed us the streets, the people and the places that hold meaning for him, giving us a much deeper look at the journey behind the person you see on screen. There is something different about hearing someone tell their story while standing in the places where it all actually happened. And with Miguel, Honesty lays at the centre of all of it. No rewriting the past. No pretending it was something else. Just owning it, learning from it, and using that experience to help other people build something better out of their own lives. These are some of the people, conversations, and moments behind his film. Thank you to Miguel, the @homeboyindustries community and the @txlfilms crew for opening the door and helping us tell this story. You can’t capture courage from the sidelines. Genius Trait 2 of 24: COURAGE. Behind the scenes. To film Val’s wingsuit flight 🎥 @vsobol03, the crew @txlfilms had to get into the air with her. Different heights. Different risks. Different jobs. But everyone on this shoot had to do a slightly scarier version of what they normally do. Which felt exactly right for a film about courage. Swipe to see how we got the shot. What would the more courageous version of your job look like? You can’t capture courage from the sidelines. Genius Trait 2 of 24: COURAGE. Behind the scenes.
