💈I understand when cutting waves you want to go with the grain… but it’s ok to think outside the box. You don’t always have to cut with the grain, understanding your clients hair texture and curl pattern will play a key role when giving a fade on someone with waves.

💎Notice that I’m using a comb over using a brush. I use a comb while cutting hair because I want to lift the hair from the scalp. When the hair is off the scalp you will have a smoother look when transitioning your fades. Using a brush is good when you want to lay the hair back down.

💈make sure you’re using the right tools for the job🫡 brushes hold onto bacteria which can be easily transferred from client to client. Combs can be easily cleaned and disinfected within 10 minutes that way as you’re cycling through your clients you won’t have to worry about transferring any harmful bacteria.
