A+M 4EVER💘 I went to the most stunning wedding in the redwoods, got to be with my besties and be surrounded by so much love in the air! Someone made a comment that really stuck with me, they said it was beautiful to see our friendship as women because each one of us is so unique yet we compliment the heck out of each other. And honestly it made me feel so damn grateful to have these ladies in my life! When I was asked how I knew the bride and groom, I started reminiscing about how Millicent and I first connected (thanks to music & dance floors, of course) and we realized just how many little synchronicities we’ve shared over the years. It really felt like we were meant to find our way into each other’s lives. It’s these emotionally special big moments that have me reflecting on how incredibly lucky I am to love, to be loved, and to have such beautiful humans walking through and celebrating life with. <3333 LOVE LOVE

Since moving to the Napa Valley in 2013, I’ve been a devoted hype woman for local small businesses, projects, and talented makers in and around Napa, Sonoma, Marin, and the Bay Area at large. By 2014, I had fully committed my life here to professional photography and creative direction, lifting up brands and helping them to define their visual identities. This path has been pivotal for me on my own creative journey, as my subjects and surroundings are a deeply personal source of inspiration. I feel fortunate to be a frequent contributor to @ediblemarinwc so when their editor reached out to ask if I’d be “The Edibleist” for their Summer issue, I was so incredibly honored! There’s also a feature within about WINELAND — the recently-released coffee table book I photographed for @chefcharliepalmer, out on @artisan_books (pssst I’ll be signing books at @napabookmine this Wednesday, August 5 at 6pm!). My friends and I formed an elite group of super tasters that required a thorough investigation into nearly a dozen flavors of @brets_officiel potato chips, before, after, and during an even more involved exploration of @chartreuse_diffusion at various elevations and on multiple cities. We had multiple religious experiences. @peinbund you were an inspiration. @amycurrens We can’t thank you enough. @theknottyoak you’re a legend and I can’t wait for more adventures with you. @brets_officiel we can’t live without you.

I don’t know if I’ve ever had more fun documenting a property before. A year ago my amazingly talented friend @zeeble invited me to stay at her museum of curiosities and artifacts doubling as an AirBnb, @theknottyoak — located in a charming Mendocino County town called Philo, whose population hovers just above 300. The Knotty Oak is a 3-house property ideal for retreats and weddings, but most of what you’ll see in these slides is the the main house, where we stayed. Built in 1888, the home is a piece of history in itself, as the property was once Anderson Valley’s first post office and a stagecoach stop. Relics found throughout its long renovation can be seen creatively displayed throughout the buildings, expertly curated amongst hundreds of Mary’s salvage yard and antique finds. Only recently did I realize that I never did a proper post to my feed about this extraordinarily special project, so better late than never!

We got to celebrate this wonderful group all weekend long, enjoying a special 50th birthday bash with the sweetest friends. Two fun days, the best food, and plenty of laughs. I’m not sure if everyone knows this about myself but I help manage the most amazing property in Philo @theknottyoak There are 3 Airbnb on the property and so much more. Great property for a wedding, retreat, reunion. Late this summer a plum tree there put out so much fruit I kept thinking we should do something with all this abundance. Introducing TKO plum jam @theknottyoak. We offer a jar to all our guests perfectly paired with toast or vanilla ice cream. The other day we had it with pennyroyal laychee cheese and omg heaven in a bite! #andersonvalley #philo

January went like this: ☀️ turning 41 with friends in sunny, northern california. it was -4 F when I left minneapolis, so the 64 degree felt GLORIOUS. 🍳 we cooked so many delicious meals together, including these spaghetti squash fritters with spicy cashew cream, poached egg, and garlicky spinach. 👭 although we FaceTime and text all the time, i hadn’t seen them in person since 2019. it was like no time had passed at all. good girlfriends are irreplaceable as you age. 🥹 we stayed @theknottyoak near Boonville and I highly recommend. such a unique and cozy home! 🐈‍⬛ we turned on cat tv for the first time and it escalated quickly. 🫧 a rare clean kitchen moment before a sourdough class. it takes me less than a day to resume back to very out of sorts. 😬 🍳 breakfast dates > dinner dates. 🎄 belated Christmas; grateful to be this age and have my grandma. 💛 her papery-thin homemade lefse is worth its weight in gold. ☕️ catch-up with a friend and a very aesthetically pleasing coffee moment. 🧀 the cheese plate I can’t stop thinking about @pennyroyalfarm.
