This past weekend was excellent! It is a great pleasure to be surrounded by such incredible friends and amazing music.

Here are some images of my friends and other non-human materials I thought looked neat. I’ve been playing around with a new rangefinder camera and I’m really loving it so far. Very happy to be taking photos again!

Had so much fun designing this little set for Theo Lawrence. Big thanks, as always, to my talented art crew who jumped in with such enthusiasm. Liz Tyson’s graphics and scenic work really lifted this and Nick Kwasny did a great job to get it all standing (he’s good with wood AND metal). Thanks to Julian Ruiz for helping with the heavy lifting and Katie Heim, Starhill Ranch, SCL and Labyrinth Creative for always being so supportive.

LOVE LOVE LOVE how it all came together and love working with Vanessa Pla for her gorgeous aesthetics and clear vision.

I had some more photos from my last roll that I wanted to share!

Most of these were taken at the 709 show at the Planet K on South Lamar, where we celebrated the special day with Jim Franklin and some coooool bands. 709 was a number seen in the clouds during an acid vision by one of the members of the Uranium Savages back in the early 70s in Austin. The number has upheld its significance throughout the @armadilloworldheadquarters squad for over 50 years now.

I surprised Jim by having a friend (@trifleteller) bring some original artwork of Jim’s that were recently recovered that he hasn’t been able to see or hold in decades. The next project is to scan and archive as many of these recovered pieces so that Mr. Franklin’s artwork can be admired for many more decades to come! It was a really good time.

Some of the other images here were taken at a buzzmill show I played a solo set for with @_truesummit (best band). Lots of pals came out to support and it was a lovely thing to experience.

Okee, that’s it! Developed and Scanned at the marvelous @sanmarcosfilmlab as always. It’s Ilford HP5 400

@killerkaya : Live at Wall of Fog Album Review 📰 by @annakay_reeves via @junkaroo.mag 🔗 in bio / stories

📸 article photos by @maren.in.raw

Album recording by @wall_of_fog_recordings & live video by @thekwonic

“…the album’s first track “Cosmic Cowgirl” is a dreamy reflection of Austin’s boots-and-blaze aesthetic. The rolling surf rock of the opening riff has its edges sharpened by heavy, good old fashioned shredding and Chiplunkar’s vocals.”

@_.renowned._ @howdygalspresents @masmusicrecords Zodiac Party veteran @killerkaya first connected with the Austin zine scene at the Leo Party. It takes a village to rock out, y’all! 💜

More friends, buildings, and a train.

It’s really great taking pictures of people. I used to only really take pictures of inanimate objects. One day I hope to have taken a nice photo of all of my friends.
