Finally becoming a fashion photographer after 7 years:

Hi! My name is Jade Baas, I am a fashion photographer based in San Francisco, California and back in February of this year, I was given the opportunity to photograph Runway 7’s fashion show in New York! 💫

I have been pursuing my photography career for 12 years so far and ever since my interests were seeping into the fashion industry when I was 15, I always knew I wanted to attend Fashion Week as a photographer, capturing all the art on fabric. I was drawn in by the energy the models bring, the stories they tell with their poses — the movement of the body. Photographing Fashion Week has been a goal of mine since then.

As of the recent February, I saw an add from Runway 7 Fashion to apply as a Press/Media photographer for New York Fashion Week. Without hesitation, I filled it out. Within a couple weeks, I got an email congratulating my acceptance to attend their show as a photographer! My excitement called my mother first and it was such a wholesome moment for the both of us. It was the opening of doors for my photography business. 👏🏽

I now accept clientele in the San Francisco Bay Area for all photoshoot creations, portfolio expansions, digitals and comp cards etc. I also provide video, digital art, and graphic art services! 📸

On this day at this exact time 20 years ago my life changed forever! I was nervous, scared, and questioned my ability to be a Mother. Thank you God for trusting me with one of the most important roles a woman can have! Happy Birthday Sydnee Glass! You are and will always be my biggest accomplishment!
