Porto: Fashion + Art

About last night: art lovers rejoice—Thalia Agapaki @thaliaagapaki is back in town from her native Greece to unveil “Margó”, her site-specific, improvisational performance piece that is a riveting dialogue on the relationship between body, space and memory.

By day the @thelab.yrinth concept store is like an aerodynamic spaceship at the Mercado do Bolhão that houses a tightly edited assortment of cutting-edge European designer collections, with an emphasis on the reductive color palette of black and white. The Look is experimental and GENDERLESS by nature.

THE LAB.YRINTH men’s footwear selection is out of this world, with eye-catching designs in buttery smooth Italian leather by Moma, Premiata, and Le Ruemarcel.

Come and experience it for yourselves!

About:

an "encounter between art and fashion".
Labyrinth is performance. art. a space for expression.

and now, its digital home reflects that energy.
built with a fully custom liquid frontend, shaped to move, adapt and perform.

dynamic layouts. galleries instead of grids. content that moves.
collections, drops, events, and stories, all coming alive. while keeping shopping simple, intuitive, and effortless.

the Labyrinth e-commerce is a living, breathing platform. a stage where creativity meets commerce, without compromise.

Our hands couldn’t reach the level of expression we wanted, so we created a tool to free the movement and shape something more distinct — expressive lettering shaped by energy, gesture, and artistic influence.

Thanks, Uncle Henri 😄

1. The tool created + Henri Matisse
2. The original hand-drawn lettering

We rebranded @thelab.yrinth 💫
Under the direction of their creative team we created a custom hand-lettering system that expresses their world.
Inspired by movement and dance, the lettering is raw and expressive.

The letter “T” was designed to merge the shape of a dancing body and the letterform itself — created to work as their new logotype.

I had the honour of taking part in Earthworks by Mónica de Miranda at 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in London. 🇬🇧

Presented in the courtyards of Somerset House, this site-specific installation created a space where ecology, memory, history, the body and place intertwined. Grateful to have been part of this! 🌳🫶🏾
