Well, here we are. It’s been ten years. I, @narissaworld (page will be back up) can’t believe I’m typing this! If you’re new to my page, here’s a little background story: I started in my parents back house on a cot, in Los Angeles. I am a self taught lash artist, however @juliandeanbrown was a major guiding light for me. We lived in my tiny queens apartment, both chasing our wildest art dreams! After college it was giving desk job. I didn’t see that for me. Music was my number 1 love and goal, but I tried it for a while. Julian stayed in Nyc. I took my talents back to LA. I bought a kit on Craigslist and I started practicing after work and on the weekend. All of a sudden it was taking off. I dove straight into lashes after getting fired on Valentine’s Day. Lashes catapulted me, my music, & many other women. I became a dog mom of 2. I’ve been able to travel and see different places. I have gained millions of streams on my music. I opened my first store front in 2019, 7 days before slauson changed forever 🏁 and one year before covid happened. I’ve survived those things because I’m simply not a quitter. I’ve had my windows busted many times. I’ve had confrontations and altercations that made me want to say f*** it, but I never gave up. Me and Julian shared the name until Covid came. When that happened everything got blurry. Luckily, we were eventually able to work through our differences. Definitely follow his new brand @see_her_eyes - he is still New York’s best ! His style is different and exotic and I love him so much. I’m extremely grateful for his presence in my life. After 5 years winging it in different areas of LA (DTLA, Brentwood, Mid City) and another 5 in the area I grew up, I can say I’ve learned a lot and I’m still learning. I’m hungry for knowledge I never knew I wanted. I am ready for a rebirth, a new direction, and more lash and brow skills. I took a break from teaching to learn more. TMC. There’s so much I can say. I never share this kind of stuff but just to let you guys in a little and motivate you, I’m posting it. This was not planned for content. Filmed on 3/7. Because I make music, content, and have other entrepreneurial endeavors, I do beauty services every other day right now. So today’s schedule was naturally a full one. The memberships are popular because you get almost 3 months of lashes without worrying about paying. It also puts my clients on a regular schedule so fills are quick & easy, yet thorough. My 3rd client hasn’t seen me in 5 weeks. I usually charge for a full set but she still had so many lashes, I had to honor the fill price. They did not budge. I removed anything outgrown and filled her up. My last client was getting a fill / birthday touch up so we didn’t need to remove any old lashes. I loaded the lids up! You could not have told me at my college graduation, I’d still be lashing & tatting today!!!! However, lashes & brows chose me and saved me!!!!! #OnMySoul I love lashing and tattooing brows. It calms my spirit to this day and I do every person with my all so it can be a lot at times. I come from the word of mouth era, not the content content content era. I created #thelashtrap when IG wasn’t stealing all the other apps swaggggg back when @kevin was running things(good times ✨). Word would spread like wildfire to the right people who naturally had an interest. Now things are more forced. There’s more confusion. More choices. More scams. More content and less talent. A lot of clients are being manipulated by content. I stopped teaching for almost a year & a half !!!!! That was a major part of my income & happiness, but I wanted to focus on learning, curating and creating more so I can TEACH BETTER & TEACH MORE. Today I did a special brow 💃🏽. I used @browdaddy of course. This brow is called “FILL ME IN”. It’s for my girlies with brows that have a missing patch or 3! Essentially, it’s less than 10 strokes per brow. It solidifies the shape of your already amazing eyebrows. I’m creating the new curriculum but I want to make sure it’s 100%❤️‍🔥. Our in person group classes will be very lengthy and demanding, but you will know how to do the skill you desire to acquire. We are also working on other classes here at @bossbaesuites (nails, tattoo, braids, etc) -online -in person -group & 1 on 1 On 3.23 we will be celebrating 10 years of business and surviving covid.
