✈️🌻If, like me, you have a desire to travel, there are a few remedies to look at. It’s not that desire to travel is a problem to be fixed, just a hint to guide you to a good remedy: Travel lovers are those who are changeable, adaptable. Ganesh and Soul Purpose are the ones to consider. Desire to travel doesn’t mean you actually do travel. Those who resonate with these formulas might actually have trouble traveling because they feel stuck. Because my formulas are emotional adaptogens, they cover both sides of the same coin: those who desire to travel and those who feel stuck.
Ganesh if it’s paired with lack of confidence/fear of failure
Soul Purpose if it’s resltessnes and dissatisfaction you can’t put your finger on.
Wherever you are, Bon voyage ❤️

There’s something quite funny about going back to the place where you met your husband after 20-odd years…

Especially when the place you met was Sainsbury’s car park. 😂

Notting Hill sounds much more glamorous, doesn’t it?

And if you’re new here, let me fill you in…

So there he was, 2006, James, a young actor doing a promo job, dressed in bright red leggings inside a giant pineapple, handing out free jelly.

And er… I must have really liked jelly 🤪 because before I knew it, he’d chatted me up & given me his number.

I remember telling my mum I was going out with “a bloke I met in a car park” and she was, understandably, not best pleased. 😂

But what can I say? That southern smile. That giant pineapple. I was a young northern girl, head over heels.

I mean, the plan when I moved down south was to find Prince William. (Perfectly reasonable plan 😆) & yet somehow, I ended up with my very own Pearly King. 🫶🏼

Anyway, we hadn’t been back to Notting Hill in years, so for my birthday we escaped for a night. Just us.

Bliss.

We stayed at @thelaslett and spent the day wandering around the streets we hadn’t seen together in years. Colourful houses, tiny antique shops and all the places where Hugh Grant did his oopsie daisies. 😂

Somewhere between the wandering, eating and drinking, we found ourselves talking about everything. Where we’d come from, where we’d been and everything still to come.

For a few hours it felt a bit like being young again.

Except my feet hurt and we were discussing whether we’d had enough wine to justify dessert. 😂

And yes, we bickered.

Because apparently removing four children doesn’t remove the ability to annoy each other. 😂

But walking back through Notting Hill that night, hand in hand, I looked at him and thought…

Yep.

Out of everywhere we could have met, somehow it was a Sainsbury’s car park. In a giant pineapple.

And after everything, there’s no one I’d rather wander around London with.

Even when he’s annoying. Which, to be fair, is quite often. 😂

Thank you for the loveliest stay, The Laslett. 🧡

And thank you to my giant pineapple for giving me his number all those years ago.

Well… actually, I gave him mine. 😜

Don’t spend your entire London trip on the Tube because you wanted to see Buckingham Palace and Shoreditch but you booked a hotel in Notting Hill.

We’re breaking down London’s neighborhoods from polished Mayfair to creative Shoreditch, plus the hotels that will put you exactly where you want to be for your next trip.
