I was always made to feel small for being big. My whole life I have been WAITING to wear what my friends are wearing. Waiting to wear the awesome new pieces that sustainable brands that come out with, waiting to walk into a store, grab something I love & go.

Over the years, it has gotten a little bit easier to find styles I want to wear, but I have to compromise quality, ethics and sustainability. When I finally do find that tie-dye matching set, it’s fast fashion…or when “inclusive”, sustainable brands finally release new plus size options, they tend to be plain or extremely limited in options compared to the “straight-sized” ones.

So, about 5 months ago, I got tired of waiting. I literally said screw it and made a list of all of the things I WANT and that I have heard others want in plus size clothing...and I started @whatlowants

I had NO idea where to even find a factory or that “person who makes the blue print thing of my dress”, but I took it day by day.

It is still scary and I still take it day by day, but this week I tried on the first round of samples for @whatlowants ...and some time this spring I will send out my first package to another plus size beauty who will wear my design…and hopefully they will feel seen 💕
