@thelibrarybarcph The Library Bar is one of Copenhagen’s most atmospheric cocktail bars, tucked inside the historic Copenhagen Plaza Hotel across from Central Station and Tivoli. Just walk through the hotel lobby and follow the red carpet to find it.

The vibe is old-world elegance. Think dark wood, soft Chesterfield armchairs, walls lined with antique books, portraits of long-gone aristocrats, and warm, dim lighting that makes you want to stay awhile. It has been a gathering place since the 1970s, and Forbes once named it one of the world’s best hotel bars.

I ordered the “Persuasion” cocktail, which the menu describes as fruity, nutty, and tantalizing. It’s made with Hafn gin, hibiscus, orgeat, apricot, almond liqueur, lemon, and egg white, and it fits the setting perfectly.
