It’s a sweet little Saturday in the shop— and these are our picks!

NEW in shop: @hello.tomato.co water based nail polish in the best shades, with glossy top coat and remover too!

Also new— ceramic berry boxes to build the most charming little gift boxes. No gift wrap needed! Makes the best housewarming gift, birthday treat, house closing box, and more. Just $10 to add it on to any purchase, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Enjoy your sunny weekend, Portland! Let’s soak up every last drop.

Hello, September 🤍

This month I am inspired by the rhythms of nature. I so often feel that humanity seeks to exist in direct opposition to the innate flow that the rest of all things living, tend to follow. When it is the dead of winter and the rest of the earth rests we proclaim that it is the perfect time to uproot and exert all energy, when the last frost has passed and the ground has softened enough for strawberries to begin to unfurl and fruit we instead demand citrus, and when the days are long and hot and the land is blossoming under the rays of the never ending sun we eagerly wish the time away.

But nature understands this rhythm- the importance that each season, moment, and seed holds. For if there was no cold winter, the Snowdrops would not bloom in March. And if the snow did not melt, our rivers would not flow. And if the days were not hot, the peaches would not ripen. And if the April storms did not shake the tiny twigs from the trees, the sparrows would not be able to make nests for their fledglings.

So I have decided that she is our expert and whatever it is that the earth indicates to us is the natural order, I shall follow.

We’re firm believers that handmade cards + people you love = a very good use of your time.

Write something weird. Write something sweet. Draw a tiny potato. Tell someone you miss them. Put it in an envelope. Send it through the actual mail like the analog legend you are.

And speaking of mail magic: peep these adorable Pen Pal Kits from Egg Press, new in the shop and ready to make someone’s mailbox infinitely more delightful.

Nothing lovelier than a massachusetts summer. I hope your days are full of pretty drives, and putting chips in your beach sandwiches, and lots of good sunblock smells, and trying new recipes with your friends, and some really good naps ☀️🌊💖✨
