🌤 Sábado al mediodía en Montevideo. Sol firme. Aguja abajo.

Seguimos.

The time is almost here for Brett’s Bass Fund’s Second Annual Benefit Concert!!!! Last year was incredible and this year just might top it.

It will feature the WORLD PREMIERE performance of the Stone Phoneys, a harmony-driven musical tribute honoring the Trio albums and beyond, celebrating the timeless songs of Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, and Emmylou Harris, performed by Amanda Richards, Renée Musquiz, and Christine McAllister.

The Best Intentions Honky Tonk Band will be rocking the house, and if you need any indication of what a good time that’s gonna be just check their socials. And yes, Christine McAllister will be the bass player for both bands - that’s why we’re making more bass players, so she can finally get a break.

Also there will be a VERY SPECIAL performance from Zachary Carothers of Portugal. The Man and local Portland Bass legend, Perry Gerber. You’ll get to see the progress our scholarship recipients have made as they’ll be taking the stage as well.

This is guaranteed to be an amazing show, and all of the money raised will go toward empowering our next round of scholarship recipients. Please spread the word, we’d love to see you there!!!

My first year of concert photography as well as my first full year living back in the US and navigating life with my wheelchair. At the beginning of the year I never would have imagined I’d come as far as I have this year. I’m so proud of my accomplishments and so thankful for these opportunities.

I attended 105 shows and festivals this year and photographed 80 of those across 31 different venues, 4 states and 2 countries. Got to photograph so many bucket list bands and met many of my favorite artists.

I successfully advocated for a safer and more accessible barricade at McMenamin’s Edgefield and crowd surfed for the first time in my wheelchair at the Turnstile show.

I was, to my knowledge, the first photographer in a wheelchair in the photo pit at many of these venues and made a lot of progress in making live music in Portland more accessible and inclusive. I witnessed Hawthorne Theatre accommodate 50 ADA requests, the most they’ve ever had and 10% of their capacity.

I started a venue accessibility guide and I’m looking forward to working on that more and publishing the resource in 2026.

And outside of music and photography, I joined Adaptive Sports Northwest for their summer cycling series and this year I’m going to be taking ski lessons with Oregon Adaptive Sports!

I’ve got a lot of amazing shows and festivals lined up for 2026 already and I’m going to continue to advocate for more accessibly in the live music industry and I’m looking forward to exploring more adaptive sports and recreation, covering more festivals and maybe/hopefully 🙏 my first cruise.

Fresh of their new self released album Shish, Portugal. The Man returned to NYC to play a smaller than usual show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Regardless of what album they are touring for or who is in the latest configuration of the live band, PtM always delivers an incredible show and tonight was no different. In nearly 17 years of seeing this band, I’ve never been let down.

If you enjoy Portugal The Man’s music (or these photos), consider donating to one of the many great charities the band supports including @franceschangedmylife in support of research on rare diseases such as the one John and Zoe’s daughter lives with.

I saw my favorite band last night (and the night before) and OF COURSE I had to match my mani to their new album cover. I had such a good time at the show. There's something about being at a concert and being right up front! Love @portugaltheman so much. I've seen them 25+ times (I've lost count) and their live show never disappoints.

You’re not going to believe what’s in the rolling cart.

Come watch @PortugalTheMan’s DENALI show to find out. Tour starts today. Album out tomorrow.

I am so incredibly proud of this band and the work this talented man has done to build a whole universe around this new body of work. From the songs to the custom apparel looks he designed through @KNIKcountry, down to the tour lanyards and stage build, every piece has been thoughtfully and purposefully put in place, all in the direction of this big vision.

I am so excited for you all to experience it! Buckle up, babes. 🌋
