New Podcast

When it comes to midlife we often talk about the concept of ‘women stepping into their power”, what does this actually mean? Well in this episode I will unpack that with my friend and colleague Celine Levy @thelovedwitch . Celine is a Sex and Power coach who works with women to help them gain a sense of agency and connection with their bodies.

Celine has a really interesting story and her path to this work, showed her that ‘power over’ another can be devastating, and how the cultural conditions in an environment can set us up for these experiences as we adapt to cultures to try and belong and feel safe. This close shave with a cult has propelled her forward into work with women so that they can learn to listen to their bodies through building a strong connection with their nervous system and the messages it sends.

In this podcast we talk about:

What power is, how it can only exist within a relationship and how the state of our nervous system drives our responses to what we are experiencing.

How when we interact with another person there are two conversations going on at the same time. There is the conscious dialogue that comes through the mouth and at the same time our nervous system is having a conversation and when there is a mis-match between the two we notice this in particular ways.

How we can rewire and re-pattern the nervous system to achieve a different outcome.

How estrogen creates a biological behavioural drive for soothing, connection and accommodation and when in our post menopause life we don’t have those high estrogen levels, this impacts on our behavioural response.

You can do all the fancy communication classes you want but if you don’t do the work on your autonomic nervous system you won’t get the result you are after.

We all have a sense of deep knowing in our body. When we disconnect from our bodies we lose this connection. Reconnecting with our bodies builds reconnects us with our deep knowing.

There’s a lot going on on this New Moon 🌙 I had a wonderful session today with @thelovedwitch Celine 🪭. I’ve been invited to be featured in the October issue of @gossmagazine and another fabulous mentor of mine will be on the cover @melanieannlayer @alphafemme 👑 Celine was helping me clarify my own message. This never really ends. It’s an evolutionary expression, as we grow, so does our message.

To refine yet again, I found the word DARING came up again and again. Dare to Dare. It’s the tenet of the element of water : To Dare. And as I refined my own message for the interview with Goss I was speaking in watery language.

I work with entrepreneurs and creatives who are already experienced and whose ship has sailed. I work with them for one season to help them navigate through daring waters. They express like never before. Their visibility and expansion becomes tangible.

I am a daring fairy 🧚‍♀️ godmother when it comes to life, love & business .

In the moment of clarifying, I realised these potent women ride the waves with me. So grateful for their wisdom and for the congruence of conversations that will land in Oct, in print, in Goss Magazine and with magnificent timing. We cross the paths of destiny in these moments. 👑🌙🪭

I've written 20+ articles for the @elephantjournal platform.

Most of them went viral. I think it's because I could give a physiological explanation to some phenomenon people would identify as part of their fate or their personality.

Having the physiological lense helps us to make some changes if we want to.

Waiting for the next article to come out, I have compiled all the previous articles links in a pdf document.

Pm me if you want it. 📖

There's almost no desire you can satisfy without another person involved.

Learning how to ask is essential to create your support system.

And your support system is what nourishes your confidence.

Your adrenals ( little glands on the top of your kidneys) produce cortisol, the stress hormone.
A little bit is good, to react to life challenges, too much is detrimental to your well being, your health, your s&xuality.

Because adrenals produce as well DHEA, which becomes testosterone, the queen of libido.

But,

They can't do both at the same time.

It's stress, or pleasure. It's stress or desire. It's stress or libido.

So if you want coaching to have your libido back;

If you are perimenopausal, and testosterone just dropped, simple practices can help.

But if your circumstances are stressful or perceived as stressful, that's what we'll coach on first.

Think about libido as your inner Beyoncé. She won't perform on a cluttered stage.
